I liked the location and the food was very good
I like the fact the rooms are away from the pub, it was very peaceful, the room was very clean and nicely presented
I think the beds might need some attention, my bed in particular was uncomfortable with some springs gone, maybe some biscuits to have with your tea or coffee in your room, would be appreciated
Tired bedrooms/bathrooms mouldy
Cleanliness and friendliness of staff
Good food and warm cookies on arrival. Evening meal and breakfast excellent.
We stayed in the annexe in which the decor is a bit tired
The staff were all friendly and attentive. There was a great range of beers in the bar, and a complimentary bottle of Gales HSB in the room. Nice touch!
As stated elsewhere, the fish and chips appeared to have been cooked in old oil and smelt burnt and greasy.
staff friendly and attentive, very good breakfast and little extras like slippers etc.
weather had turned cold and heating not to good
Bed broken but still comfortable
Bar Area with Sky sports
We liked everything , a very good breakfast
The friendliness of the staff, the quality of the cooking and the range of beers and wines on offer. The Ship n Bell is due for refurbishment in the next 6/9 months and once this is completed it can only enhance a very enjoyable stay.
We requested a twin room and had to climb two floors as the twin rooms are upstairs. Next time we will just have to cuddle up in a double!!!
