lovely town, full of interesting shops and restaurants.nice quay side with antique centre.Hotel very nice, We stayed in main building over looking the Main Street ...lots to watch.
Lovely fluffy towels.Good food.
Room was very very hot during the night and pillows hard
Very accommodating for our dog.
She was allowed in the bar whilst we had dinner.
Room was very small and had the door directly onto the car park which was noisy with people coming and going. Also a staircase led up the side to a wooden balcony which was very noisy when people went up.
Close to the quay and shops
Our room (9) was very claustrophobic
The comfy bed, the colours of the room and the hotel, the BIG towels, the very friendly staff, the bar, the location and the price.
The instant coffee
The bed was extremely comfortable.
The bathroom was gorgeous .
The decor of the room was smart and modern.
Our room was upstairs in a modern annexe and was very hot. Clearly this is a regular problem, because there was a portable fan already in the room.
The young waitresses in the restaurant were forgetful and need more training.
Bedrooms immaculate - stylish with modern touch and great shower
Restaurant - nice environment with excellent food
Restaurant was a bit noisy to start with as there was a raucous group in the bar but as soon as they left it was very pleasant
We liked the room, it had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and spacious and very well laid out.
The beds were comfortable and there was great attention to detail, such as a fan, and bedside clock and comfortable chairs.
The Globe is very well run and the staff are all friendly and seem to work as a team. We will come again.
A Friendly welcome by cheerful and helpful team of staff. Our room was probably one of the nicest that we have stayed in for a while, everything was of a consistently high standard. We ate in the bar that evening and again we enjoyed our meals which we couldn't fault (not that we wanted to). This is a perfect place to stay
The courtyard rooms are well appointed, the beds comfortable, the simple design pleasing. Tea, coffee, water etc all fully replaced every day. An excellent breakfast, with fresh wholegrain bread for toast, not the sliced rubbish which plagues British hotels. All the staff are helpful and efficient.
The fact that most of the bedrooms are round the courtyard means that, when bedroom windows are open, some noise can be heard from a cellar air cooling system which cannot be switched off. Also late drinking and shouting at weekends, and sometimes a folk club strumming away on the ground floor. Total silence cannot be guaranteed.
Room 7 .. a lovely room with gorgeous furnishings.
Bed was so luxurious.
Bathroom was very lovely
Room overlooked outside seating area and was very noisy.
Would be nice if breakfast was included in the price
