Patrick Solo traveler Beaulieu, United Kingdom October 5, 2012	Low cost, friendly staff I found this hotel on booking.com, but in fact it is not really a hotel but a slightly down at heel village pub with some modern rooms built in the car park at the back. The bar was very ordinary with TV/football on loud. The food was not at all special but cheap. But the staff and locals were very friendly. The rooms were clean and adequate but the hot water system was a bit pathetic - a feeble direct heater for hot tap in the sink. Like everything in life you get what you pay for. Absolutely fine if you are on a budget but as I am lucky enough for the client to pay I will find somewhere a bit better next time.	6.3

The setting was pleasant and peaceful; the room was clean and comfortable and the service was very good - helpful without being intrusive. There was a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
