Very Friendly staff. I am on a gluten free diet. When I booked I requested go breakfast if possible. When I rang to confirm the booking they were out shopping for go bread and cereals. V go breakfast and friendly professional staff who actually seemed interested in providing good service.

Comfortable accommodation en suite bathroom, efficient staff, excellent breakfast.

It is quite expensive. The loud music on a Friday night till 11pm but then it is a pub after all!

Location; warm welcome; quick attention to minor problem with room safe; very well-appointed room, with all the toiletries and accessories you'd find in a much more expensive hotel; good beers; excellent breakfast. Parking just at the back of the hotel - paying from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, but not expensive compared to what we pay in South London! We hope to be back for a longer stay before too long.

Only reservation: bed a bit firm for my taste. Regretted that our stay was so short.

Excellent full English breakfast each morning. Good selection of meals. Very comfortable & cosy rooms. Central location for the town & surrounding pubs & eateries. Most definitely would visit The Sun Inn again!

Had to leave & come home!

Central location, price included a really nice breakfast with good options. Nicely furnished room with all the facilities you'll need for a night stay (iron and ironing board, tv, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries). Easy to reach neighbouring towns.

We stayed in Room 2 which is above the kitchen and overlooks the beer garden, so the room can be noisey when the kitchen fans are turned on (about 8am) and also late at night if it's warm, people are outside and you want to have the window open (it was quiet from about 11:30pm though). The windows don't open far either so although a fan is provided in the room, it can take a while for the room to cool down after a hot day. Car parks are located very close by but costs aren't refunded or subsidised.

Staff at the bar and in the dining room were efficient, friendly and prompt.

The bathroom shower head was too small so the water came through like sharp needles - painful! The bathroom wasn't really as clean as it should have been.

Food, location, room

could be updated and as I said cleaners could be more quieter in the morning so we could have a lie in. Have put the prices up too much, it's only a pub. £85 a night for a double mid week too much. A few years ago it was £65
