The girl at the desk was polite and helpful and the breakfast is fresh, well displayed and organized. The rooms are also well equipped.

The wi-Fi was not working very well and I had work to do. Being awaked by a loud voice telling us batteries are low in fire alarm was not pleasant... followed by dog barking a little later and sound of people walking overhead.

proximity to shopping center - the desk clerk on Wednesday morning (august 13th) was so over-worked but was still very polite and courtious. Appreciated the breakfast and free toothbrush (my daughter had forgotten hers).

The clerk upon arrival on tuesday August 12th (arrived approx 1pm) - very abrupt, argued with me about pricing, amount of people and their ages registered as the package purchased on-line was not the same as Travelodges 'policies' - she was just very unprofessional. The decor in the room and the smell was horrible - carpeting was humid - this was definitely not a hotel but more of a motel. Beds were way too small for two people - there should have been atleast one queen in the room. Not enough pillows (one small flat pillow per person)...

Staff - Tracey at the desk was most accommodating. We asked for room, she obliged willingly. The property is on a very busy street (Hwy 7) and the building is old but recent renovations show a pleasing color scheme and comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the older couple that clean the rooms were most efficient and work so hard to ensure your room is perfect. The breakfast was perfect, generous assortment to suite most, and includes fresh fruit and Activia yogurt!

The property is old, and tired, albeit the reburished rooms are tastefully decorated. As we had left it late for our reservations, the prices in the area are high anyway. The Travelodge was economical but not a room to spend time in. The pool is facing the highway, but seemed to be enjoyed by the many children++ the parents dropped off there. Eventually, perhaps the hotel will spruce up the stairwells, and carpeting that indicated years of wear. Only other thing was the smokers that stand outside their rooms to smoke (non-smoking property). Hard to avoid the smell when its that close to your entrance. This is a great last minute overnighter lodge, but don't expect frills. You get what you pay for, and at that, they do well.

Location in relation to UVM, restaurants, and other city attractions was good.

The room was old, smelly, and rundown, except for the bathroom, which had appeared to have been renovated.

Brand new mattress and box spring. Helpful staff, but somewhat overworked. Good breakfast arrangements.

Sheets did not fit new bedsets. Two items on floor from previous visitors. Awkward bathroom layout
