No thing is good in this hotel
The place is very good if you enjoy live music and fun.
Ur Edessa has a restaurant on the terrace so they were organizing events every night.
In the evening there is nothing to do in Urfa so the option to have some fun was great to me.
However, room was not clean. Staff speaks poor English. However, it did not disturb me.
Nice old building. Good breakfast. Lots of wood and stone.
I had the Turkish manager from my hotel in Goreme call ahead and tell them that I would be arriving very early at 5am and asked if this would be a problem. He was told no problem at all. He also asked if there was someone who could speak English. He was told that there was. When I got there at 5am the door was closed and locked. I banged on the door for twenty minutes with no success. I began to think that I would soon attract someone to rob me of everything before anyone would come to the door. Then I phoned and let it ring and ring while at the same time kicking the door over and over. Eventually someone came and opened the door but really was not happy about having been awoken. He did not speak English but was able to say that in the morning there would be. In the morning the person who "spoke" English was a Syrian who knew a few words of English but no Turkish so he could not get any answers from the staff. The room was big with huge ceiling. But there were hairs from previous tenents on the bathroom wall. The floor of the bathroom were very slippery and I almost fell taking a shower. There was a worn down wooden chest with cigarette butts in it. The bed was large but it came with two half-sized blankets and since the space heaters on the wall only worked for two minutes at a time I was cold each night. When I got in the room there was no toilet paper so they gave me napkins from the restaurant. At one point the plastic enclosure of one of the electrical outlets fell to the floor along with the plug that was charging my computer.
It was also rather loud. On one night, they had a band which played until well after 1am preventing me from getting to sleep. The band played in a room just below mine and was really loud. It is beyond me how they could think that this was ok.
When I was checking out they would not take my credit card, insisting on cash only.

The hotel is an old traditional house with a lovely courtyard and good breakfasts. The staff was friendly.
VERY loud concerts until midnight every night. Sporadic internet. Worn furniture and plenty of dust. You can get much better value for money if you just check out some of the nearby hotels. There are a lot of them.
Chilled yet resourceful staff, great breakfast, beer-friendly.
Streetside rooms are noisy with passing motorbike's muffler-less engine noise reverberating off the marble alleyway. Live music nights can be quite noisy as well. But that can be chalked up to part of its charm.
Excellent breakfast. Morning staff very friendly. Internet was pretty fast by Turkish standards.

İnternet üzerinden rezervasyon yaptırmama rağmen ilgili kişi otelde yer olmadığını söyleyip bizi gecenin bir yarısı gönderdi ve eşimle birlikte bilmediğimiz bir şehirde başımızın çaresine bakmak zorunda kaldık. Lütfen ne cezai işlem gerekiyorsa onu yapın saygılarımla..
