Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Fairly sure the shower gel, shampoo and hand soap are all the same :D, and their quality could be slightly better, but that was my only niggle.
The hotel apartments were very clean and the staff friendly. Rooms were quiet in a noise neighbourhood. Didn't leak during the Great Flood of Dubai 2024! You're not paying for a Rolls Royce so don't expect one, although there are two parked there, along with some other classic cars, which adds a great quirk of character. Instead you're getting a very comfortable functional hotel that's great value for money!

The room was nice, but I gotta say, it could've been a tad cleaner. But hey, nothing major, just a small nitpick. Pool closing at 20:00 is certainly a lowlight.
I stayed at Gulf Oasis Hotel recently and overall, I had a pretty good experience! The location was at a walking distance from a subway station which connects the neighborhood to the whole of Dubai. There is also a Carrefour nearby and a small grocery store right at the side. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

The owner has a number of classic cars in the parking lot that are nice to look at. Unfortunately, the worst of these is parked in view from the street and does not give a good first impression.
I stayed for two weeks in a room that was far more spacious than I expected. The decor may be dated, but the place is very well looked after and in good condition. It also offered me a good kitchen and washing machine, which I need for my longer-term stays. Barsha Heights is a central place, but the area is not the best according to Dubai standards. Nevertheless, this should not hinder the decision to stay there. The metro is in walking distance too. The hotel offers various facilities, including a sauna and pools of different temperatures. Overall, I enjoyed staying there and returned a month later for a second stint at the Gulf Oasis. This time for 4 weeks.

There should be milk in the fridge for Western visitors. I arrived at 2am and wanted a cup of tea with milk ....... There is a door stop for the entry door - BUT it is located in front of the bathroom door ! I tripped on the door stop and fell onto the tiles of the bathroom and badly bruised my arm and leg ... I did tell the reception staff when I left.

Apartment was entered and cleaned during my absence without asking me or telling me any thing! The security guys suspect that I've no reservation just because I'm looking Arabian!

Compare to the facilities the charges are little bit higher.

I’ve stayed here many times over the past 4/5 years. it is my go to place for convenience of location and closeness to 24hr amenities and public transport. Apartments are spacious and well laid out. One bedroom and above have balconies, perfect for sitting out on with a morning cuppa.

Stayed for 14 nights with family. Daily House keeping needs improvement. Parking entrance is really narrow and 90 deg from road. Limited available space for parking. The so called full size bed offered for 4 family members (2 adults and 2 children) is not sufficient and extra charge of 100 AED/ night for single mattress is expensive.

Bathroom in my oppinion needed a face lift,renovation. To feel clean and disinfected
