Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff was extremely warm and responsive to our needs. They enquired about our holiday plans and offered suggestions on places to visit, transport options etc. The hotel is very centrally located, and is walking distance from the metro which was very convenient. Will happily recommend this place to other travelers.

I would like the room to be more quite. There was a strange buzzing sound from the alarm. Probably room related. Definitely can't take this as a minus.
Location is perfect for the price. 5 minutes of walk to metro, shop 5 minutes as we well. Pool and gym very perfect. Staff very friendly.

The room stank of smoke even though we asked for a non-smoking room. I think there are rooms around that are smoking rooms, so if you're sensitive like me it's better to ask twice that you are not placed anywhere near those, as they stink all the way through doors - I think the person behind the connecting door was in smoking room. The rooms with view on Burj Khalifa are very noisy as there is a huge multilane highway right below your window. The window do not isolate from the noise sufficiently.
The studio was nice, had all we needed and had a nice view on Burj Khalifa. Parking is free in the parking underground. Staff was friendly and the pool and gym looked good - did not try it though.

The rooms are extremely outdated, furniture, curtains and carpet definitely need to change. The shocking part was the outlets, no usb outlet, too many wiring and the hair dryer is old. If these small changes are considered it will take the hotel to the next level.
Prime location, friendly and helpful staff, quite and not crowded, the small kitchenette was a blessing

Pool is a bit small, and is 2 metres deep at one end. This is important if you have small children who are not confident in deep water.
Great staff, especially Allan who accommodated all our needs! A special mention to him! Breakfast was reasonable and satisfying. The gym has everything needed for a good workout. The hotel is near to the Dubai mall by metro and taxi. Able to see the Burj Khalifa from the room.

Location , the apartment configuration, a very cooperative staff
we had breakfast once and it was good , the staff is very helpful and always smily the location at Sh Zayed is in the middle of destinations we visit . The A/C thermostat was not working well and always required calling the technician for adjustment

Did not have breakfast at the hotel. Said it was not included in my charge but on booking.com did not say that. The charge for studio was because it was at the back sort of not because no breakfast. I felt short changed though!

we didn't have any negative experience
The room was excellent. The staffs are amazing and available round the clock, super quick with a happy smile on their face. It is very close to the Etihad coach stopping, so it made easy for us to just walk 150 m to reach the hotel.

The only reason it isn’t a 10/10 was the morning buffet. Time keeping and efficiency needs to be better for people who need to be up and out quickly. If all is ready for the opening time of the buffet and coffee is immediately available at this time- then perfect.
