How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Pillows were flat. The fridge didn't work. The ventilation system was dirty.
The hotel is a renovated old monastery. It has high ceilings and rebuild rooms. Location is the heart of Hainburg so you can easily get anywhere - to riverwalk or old town.

Bath tub is available in our room, no shower. We had a room facing the river, but cannot see the view. But we don’t mind, it’s a comfortable 1-night stay.
Standard nice hotel room. We had a superior double room, enough for 3 adults to spend the night. There is a public parking space next to the hotel, easy to find, other place along the street is not available for external vehicle. 5 minutes drive will take you to the center of town, and supermarket nearby. Good place for local shopping and grocery.

We have stayed here before and we really enjoyed the fact that it was quiet during the night so we could rest well, however that has now seem to have changed as the Post Office is now within the same building and during the night they load and unload trucks which makes quite a lot of noise and i found it hard to have a good night sleep. I suggest you ask for a room which points towards the parking.
The location is really good being close to the Danube river and to the city centre, large rooms with comfy beds, excellent breakfast and really helpful and friendly staff.

Most of the bedside light fixtures were broken off entirely. The only one left had exposed wiring near its base leaving me a little nervous to touch it. The bathrooms in the room are a little strange in their layout. The toilet is separate from the sink and shower, meaning you have to walk around the room and bed to wash your hands after using the toilet. Not a big deal, just strange.
Rooms were larger than the average hotel. Location was great, walking distance to a variety of restaurants and a short drive to local shopping.

Cozy hotel in a very quiet part of the little town - if you - like me - don't like staying in busy cities, this is the perfect place to sleep when on a business trip to Bratislava. Oh and it has a very pleasant small wellness with finnish sauna, even though I would appreciate a small cold tub/pool for cooling down instead of just showers. but it was lovely even so.

It’s a huge hotel so be prepared to do plenty of walking inside. But that’s the most to be bothered by.
Has a nice atmosphere, the room’s decor is really nice, the bed is super comfy, the shower is exceptional, a real treat. Great parking just next to the Kloster.

No airconditioning and room still quite hot in early autumn. Small desk fan provided.
Comfortable and quiet with lovely internal courtyard view. Bicycle lockup facilities. We had two rooms: Standard room much nicer than economy room.

My room smelled like a dog had slept there just before. Airing it out didn’t help. Must have been in the carpet. Seems like they don’t pre-warn guests about „pet-friendly“ rooms. Or they allow pets in all rooms?

When it was 30+ degrees outside, the room got hot and having an AC would be great.
A very nice small spa that we had for ourselves on hot summer days :) Beautiful building and very friendly and helpful personnel.

Great location with free of charge parking just a few meters from the hotel. Nice building renovated with good style. It's an excellent starting point for a bike tour to Bratislava or Vienna with some nice hiking tracks in the neighborhood.
