The kitchen did not have a cutting board but a knife, everything else was fine.

Room interior outdated. Not possible to use the balcony (too small, not maintained). Absolutely no view whatsoever if you are not at the lakeside.

The best location in a charming Altbau. A comfortable bed. Kitchen facilities in the room enable you to have your own breakfast or to even cook.

Enormously large room with several bedrooms and living room, balcony with a street view, the place has great genius loci, located right nearby to the lake shore, parking in a closed area next to the hotel, breakfast simple but OK.

Noise from the minibar fridge. In the end, we moved it over to the dressing room.

Beautiful old hotel from the 1920s, kept to a large extent in its original (listed). We were upgraded by the friendly staff to the fantastic tower room at the top floor which offered magnificent views from the wrap-around balcony of the lake and surrounding areas. It even a separate dressing room with original interior. We were even allowed to bring up breakfast and enjoy it in the sun on our balcony. Scrambled eggs etc offered upon request.

The room turned out to be a large apartment with kitchen and four-poster bed. Nice little balcony which caught the evening sun. Perfect location in the centre of town. We stopped for a couple of nights to go cycling round the lake and expected a quiet little town. However Velden is buzzing in the summer with a huge choice of cafés and restaurants. I lost my house keys and must thank Sepp for hunting all over the garden to find them and post them on to me!

Price bit high and lack of AC. Could use a bit of work to modernize but appreciate that thins can detract from the charm of an older property. Restaurant could use a bit more selection.

We had an enjoyable 2 night stay in Velden at the Hotel Corinthia in early July. It is a charming older property with lots of character. The style is a bit vintage and dated but that adds to the charm. The hosts were very welcoming and made the stay a pleasant experience. This provides a more authentic experience over a typical modern hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was good but the shower could have used a frame to prevent water from coming on to the floor. The rooms did not have air conditioning which is typical for older properties in Austria. This resulted in a bit warmer rooms than desired and opening windows helped but bit of street noise in morning. There was a stand fan in the room which helped a bit too. The breakfast provided was excellent with very fresh local items and great service and taste great. The room price was a bit high but it is a resort area and centrally located. There is a very well stocked wine bar in the hotel and that is worth visiting. We would stay here again and thank the staff and owners for the experience. Vielen Dank!
