Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SerbiaA place could be a little bit cleaner. We booked an apartment for 4 persons and there were only 3 chairs. There are some strict rules in a apartmend e.g. dishes must be left clean, garbage must be sorted and thrown away or host would charge additionaly. These are things I really dont wont to be bothered on a holiday. There were some ants in a apartment, but not significant.
Location is perfect! The apartment is close to Belvedere and near tram station. Easy to find. There was parking everywhere, but we parked in garrage wich we paid extra. Hosts were very kind. The apartment is very well heated. Our apartment had entrance to a small garden, which is great for smokers. Kitchen is very well equipped.

UkraineWe arrived 3 minutes before the end of check-in time and had to pay 30 euros for late check in, although in the rules they stated 20. There are a lot of rules in the apartment. You even have to take your trash out before you leave, other wise you will be charged extra. I had a feeling that we were not welcomed and the stuff pays us for staying, not the other way. The third bed (there were 3 of us) was a sofa which was extremely uncomfortable.
The apartment was quite big and relatively well-equipped. The parking was near the hotel, but the cost was 20 euros a day and you had to book it beforehand.

AustraliaVery poor wifi, it didn't work most of the time we were there. It was extremely hot during the week we spent in Vienna and the unit wasn't airconditioned, so it was very uncomfortable at night (it did have a fan, but that only helped so much). The shower drained very poorly and ended up flooding the bathroom(probably because of being in the basement)
Easy and efficient host, giving all the required info without even being asked. Very nice and good sized room, with well supplied kitchen. Quiet at night. Very near supermarkets and transport into the centre.

United States of AmericaWe missed a connection on out journey there, I quickly notified them that this would make us 20 minutes late for check in, the next morning the staff were upset and said they don’t read their messages so we were fined out of our control. There are not laundry machines even though under FAQ they say there are. A lot of bugs.
I liked the size and the apartment looked great, good beds and overall a nice looking place to stay.

LithuaniaSpecial II - a very clean appartmatent in a semi-basement. Keyless - you get a code for building and appartament. You have to make a phonecall upon arrival, so that you are brought into building, despite the fix agreed time. We and another guests waited at the door, although the owner was inside. This one must know, because this is obviously not being made clear during the phone conversation (at least for me and another couple of guests). This was probably the only misunderstanding. The location of the building is very convenient, places of interest reachable on foot.

United KingdomI didn't manage to make a coffee as the machine looked like it takes nespresso capsules, but they didn't actually fit.
The check in was smooth, the location was very good and the super market very close. You can either walk to the centre or take the tram. The apartment was smaller than we thought, but it didn't really bother us. The bathroom has a good size, a good size closet for the clothes was also available. We could also leave our luggage after the check out in a storage place and have a nice, last walk in the centre, before taking our flight in the evening. The access to the airport is also very easy. We will go back :)

MalaysiaWe were initially given an apartment in the basement. After having to telephone and tell the owner that the apartment I booked is definitely not in the basement, the owner initially insisted it was but 5 minutes later, called the "concierge" to give us another apartment. So just be very aware of your rights.
Apartment was just 10 to 15 minutes by tram or train to the city center. Very helpful and polite "concierge" at the apartment. Apartment was quite well equipped.

GermanyGreat room to stay in Vienna, well connected to train, bike-rental station, supermarkets, you have all really close and equipped with a kitchen. Recommended mostly for couples or small families. The host had good communication and very understanding with a small incident due to our daughter's playing around. We would return.

LithuaniaOne of the blankets had a smell of urine (the covers looked to be freshly washed) but it was still unusable. Ventilation was also noisy 24/7.
Location was allright, everything listed was there. Spatious bathroom. The owner was nice enough and told us he will give us a bigger room because its not busy. The room was still average so I dont know what it is considered small there. All in all satisfactory.

PolandI don't know Mr. Mario Hofer, the manager of LA SCALA - Appartement Hotel. But I had the dubious opportunity to see his worse side. 4 day city break with my wife. Our first day ever in Vienna. We call in the morning. 'You can't leave your suitcases for safekeeping now. Come at 4 p.m.' 4 p.m. We are very tired. 'I've got bad news. There is no water or electricity in your apartment' (Wow, such misfortunes at once?!). I'll take you to a neighboring hotel (We stayed there. Very average. Ratings 3.7/5) or I'll refund your payment.' I don't remember any 'sorry'. No interest in whether we are satisfied, no compensation. Instead of a fully equipped apartment, we had an average room, which was cheaper, so Mr. Hofer still made money on us(!). I found similar opinions on Google Maps.

TurkeySince our bus was delayed for about 1 hour, we were able to reach the apartment at around 10 pm. Because our phone is closed to calls, we sent a message on booking that we will be late 1 hour. But when we arrived at the hotel, the attendant greeted us with a rude and rather disturbing attitude. He said that, he called us several times and he could not reach us. I tried to explain but he didn't listen anyway. Then he said he would make a late booking and took 30 euros for a late booking. So i had to accept it. But later, when I looked at the booking description of the facility, I saw that it had to charge 20 euros. Our room was in the basement and only had a window in the ceiling. There was no air conditioning in the room, and the automatic ventilation that the attendant said was on the ceiling didn't help much either. If you are looking for a spacious room, I recommend that you look carefully to room details. General cleaning was ok, but there was dust everywhere. Probably because the room was cleaned a long time ago. We could not access the internet at all the first night because the wifi device in the room was faulty. The next day, an attendant came and canceled the device in the room. But after that, we could only go to a part of the room near the wall and access the internet. We were very uncomfortable because we also could not access the internet on our phones in the basement. When we entered the shower, we had to leave in a short time because the drain did not work well. Actually the kitchen of the room was very good and we booked this room thinking that we could cook our own meals. But after all that, we only come to room to sleep.
Only location.

Poland- The host was very unpleasant, interrupting almost every sentence I have started and looking down on me - We landed in a basement with no windows (except a ceiling one) -> it wasn't the room we booked - WiFi was terrible, had to use my private one

United KingdomWe were put in a basement room - so no windows just a skylight - the temperature outside was only like 15-17C but the room was very hot - no aircon. or air circulation. The room is basically 1 room with the kitchen/bedroom and sofa in. Then you have a bathroom. It all white, clean - although the floors could do with a mop - its has pretty modern stuff in there all from IKEA. The corridors and lift to the rooms look fine but you get the feeling they are in the middle of trying to renovate them. The WIFI is a but hit and miss. Also there is no chance of booking in early or even leaving your luggage before 2pm without paying extra.
Its location is good - a few streets away from belvedere palace and is well connected to a underground, which is like 100-200m away - also only like 20 min walk to the central areas

United KingdomI didn't like the fact that I was forced to relocate and expect the proprietor to honour the booking I made and paid in advance... The proprietor should have better manners and the courtesy to be more sympathetic having thrown me in disarray by not providing access to the apartment I booked! I expect to have been shown proof of the technical issue that was the reason for the room's unavailability. I do not appreciate being "bundled up" and be driven to a different apartment 3 km away, as the only alternative option. I am also unhappy having to negotiate a compensation, since none was offered..., which I accepted under duress; the alternative being ending up without accommodation on a rainy day, while expecting my partner...

The apartment was on the ground floor of an old atmospheric building. We received a very warm welcome and our host showed us around our modern apartment explaining how to operate the tv and other appliances. We had a very comfortable bed and the beautiful bathroom had a "Rainfall Shower' Nice kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pan, microwave, kettle, toaster and ceramic hob if you wanr to cook. The apartment is centrally placed and close to transport. It's in a nice quiet area and the architecture in the street is very atmospheric.

UkraineGood hotel location and a very quiet apartment. I loved having a separate sleeping room and direct access to the bathroom from it. Perfect apartment for a family with 1-2 kids if your kids don't mind to sleep together on a coach :) A walk to the St. Josef Cathedral took us 30 mins but you can also use a tram (line 71). The manager was extremely nice and gave us a few tips about parking and city transport. He's also a multi-language speaker, we used English, Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian to communicate!

HungaryIf you put up a smart tv it’s smart to connect it to the internet... Unfortunately it was a bit noisy (ground floor windows placed on the street side) The internet connection was not very good. Make sure to LOCK your door because if you simply just close it, it can happen if somebody opens the nearby door at the corridor that your door opens aswell After all, still good
It was easy to park Grocery shops (billa, spar) just like 200m away Great tv Very good and fast heating
