Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsNot your standard place, but is that really what you’d want? If so, go check into a hotel, because this pace certainly isn’t. It is full of good vibes though.

SwitzerlandThe general order and cleanliness can be improved, especially as far as the breakfast concerns. There are fresh products to cook breakfast, but the kitchen is small and definitely not welcoming. So I just not recommend breakfast
This hostel is a bit "special". Although not too welcoming at a first sight, it has for sure a big value! The atmosphere that comes out is positive, cheerful, relaxing, there are common areas that bring people together, trigger good discussions und fun. The guy leading the hostel takes care of your needs, just ask! I was with a friend in one of the upper double rooms: quiet, big, good beds, enough comfortable shower facilities, on top we had Netflix for the room TV, which tought for a good-price hostel means really a "luxus" :) The location of the hostel is as well awesome, can't be better, in the centre and perfectly set for skiing.

United KingdomGood vibe, everything you need to store your ski gear and to relax and refresh after a day out on the mountain. Quiet in the evenings and not a party hostel. Great location! Easy walk to the slopes and centre of town for all the bars and restaurants. The staff and owner (Dave) were exceptionally helpful.

Germanyeverything is fine and looking forward my next stay there
Booked for the funny name ;) its a cool place - and maybe the best in kitzbühel. nice people staff owner and the other guests - very relaxed. had a 2 bed room as single occupant so it was very calm and comfy and they even found a parking on property for my motorbike. a great surprise was breakfast with eggs from the chickens on the other side of the window - perfect tasty so it was a good start for the next day hiking all in all the impression was more a visit of friends at a student residence than a hotel stay

IndonesiaThe rooster wakes you up in the morning, can be useful but not when you want to sleep a but longer.
There were mountainbikes you could borrow for free. Also there is a free breakfest (included with duck eggs and chicken eggs from the garden). There are lots of books and tablegames you can use in the living room.

NetherlandsWe booked a room with two single beds and possibility for a third person. We got a filthy small room with a bunk-bed. We paid 130 euros a night for that. Besides that we got the wrong room and we paid way too much only for that. We paid without the possibility to cancel; I get why this is their standard procedure. When you read a little bit more reviews, you would agree with other people that never want to stay at this Hostel. I would; if you are reading this review; run far far far away from this place. An owner that was repairing a deceased vacuum cleaner while talking to us. He didn't want to talk about the situation with a guest that is allergic to dust, just replying we could get a anti-allergy pillow; he is just missing the complete picture here. So if you want to spend too much, want to get sick and want to have a really bad holiday you should absolutely book this -Filthiest hostel in Austria! Good Luck!
Nothing comes to mind!

NetherlandsThe entrance although seems pleasant from the photo’s but in reality it is very dirty with duck feces everywhere. the kitchen is dirty we didn’t make use of the free breakfast. the shared bathrooms and toilets also not clean at all. our beds were made with clean linens bit the room was not cleaned often you can see spiderweb everywhere. we know it is not a hotel but hygiene is just a must. the price is very low for the location so I guess you get what you pay for. we do not mind less comfort but we expected proper hygiene.
The location of the property is perfect for wintersport vacation. it is walking distance from one of popular lifts in the region. and walking distance from city center. the staff is friendly and helpful.

GermanyI had a very good time in this hostel. It has a special and alternative vibe which I quite liked. I went to Kitzbühel for some hiking and I guess this hostel is the one place to go if you want to stay in a more down to earth atmosphäre rather then with the regular Kitzbühel Tourists (which are more on the posh side of life). There are ducks and other cute animals in the garden, David (owner) provides fresh stuff from the bakery every morning and theres plenty more grocerys in the kitchen to have a nice breakfast. Also he was really eager to keep the house clean and beds where very comfortable. David himself is a special and extrovert character and he seems to really care about his guest and that they have a good time at the hostel and feel like at home. That at least was the feeling I had during my whole stay there. To sum it all up: I had a good time there and liked the fact that the owner and the hostel had character, a special spirit and were authenic rather then just another hip hostel without any personal touch. If I ever go to Kitzbühel again, for sure I will stay there again. Thanks for everything! :)

NetherlandsTo my opinion, the breakfast was too limited with bread that was not fresh for 3 consecutive days and just laid outside of any cooling. Also the general tidyness of the hostel, the kitchen and the rooms could be improved. Finally, guests have to endure yelling and swearing by the manager.
Location is convenient in Kitzbühel.

IsraelOf course it's not as sparkling clean as a hotel, but it's really fine for a backpackers hostel.
Great value for money. The host is really nice, the hostel is located at the center of the town and there's a really big kitchen with everything you'll need. Plus, there are lots of ducks and chickens outside and their eggs are at the kitchen for the guests to eat. :) Highly recommended for those who want to travel cheap!

Snowbunnys was a great experience, the combination of location and hostel experience made for a great trip. I met great people (including Dave, the host), which meant there was always something going on and people to ski with. I would recommend this unique experience for any solo or small group of travellers.
