Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Smokers seat under the only staircase from upstairs rooms. Walking through a cloud when going out of motel.
The location was perfect, walking distance to most places in town. Bus stops handy. Friend drove us to other destinations.

Only one complaint and that was how small the parking spaces were compared to places in NSW. But they seemed to be the normal for Victoria.
The staff were lovely. The room was clean and comfortable and was central to everywhere we needed to be.

Not really tip top clean found a half eaten bag of lollies on top of spare blankets which weren't clean and a lot of dust and dirt under pullout bed. The outside pool was full of dead bugs 🤣🤣

Although it had plates and cutlery, which we used, we had to wash them up in the bathroom sink. There was no kitchenette sink.

The room was situated near a main road which was noisy. Due to the design of the motel this couldn't be helped.
The room provided us with all the facilities we required. Greeting from reception was friendly and the room comfortable.

Nothing.
We chose Admiralty Inn because of the location to the CBD of Geelong and to the Port for boarding The Spirit of Tasmania. The room had everything you needed for a one night's stay and was great for a walk into town on the night, although the Inn did have it's own restaurant if you had wanted to eat there. We were located in the far corner of the Inn, which was quiet and away from the road noise of the main road outside.

The pool in the photos seemed much larger than what it was. Bathrooms could have included more amenities such as toothpaste and body wash.
The front desk lady was very kind and welcoming. She made our experience so much better.

Cons: + Room had quite a strong smell of bleach. Took sometime to get used to it. Some may find it irritating. + The toilet was clean but we find some insects coming out. The shelf did contain an insect killer like it was expected. So be careful if you have children.
Pros: + Value for money (when I booked around Christmas) + Close to city amenities. I didn't have a car so had to walk a bit. Otherwise its close to the pier. + Room was fairly clean. Why fairly? Check the cons section. + Bedding and pillows were nice and clean.

Furnishings a little dated. Bathroom contained a deep spa bath with over shower - For a shorter person, difficult to access. Noisy exhaust fan in bathroom.

Hotel needs maintenance. Shower dripped all night, had to unscrew the head the second night to stop the incessant dripping noise. Reception kindly gave me a bunch of extra towels to help line the shower tray to reduce the noise. Also the towel rail and toilet paper holder both loose. One side of towel rail came off at one point. Half the TV channels weren't working. Aircon remote is old and doesn't have temperature settings so you have to climb up on chair to check the unit to make sure it's on the correct setting. Bed was comfortable enough. Hotel just needs maintenance. So didn't feel I got value for money in this instance.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable bed.
