    Nothing to report

It was quiet and beautiful historical building. Great location near War Memorial, Lake Burley Griffin, cool little bars and eateries. Easy cycle or walking around beautiful suburb. Staff lovely.

We chose this hotel knowing it had an on-site restaurant however the meals could have been of better standard considering the pricing. The hotel is isolated for travellers from any close shopping centre and alternate restaurants within walking area. Rest rooms for visitors not booked in as guests are only in the bar region. When this is closed it limits facilities for those needing a rest room, such as at the breakfast room or in our case when our room had plumbing issues.

Room was good and the staff very helpful and friendly. We had a plumbing issue and this was attended to and fixed within minutes of reporting. The courtyard and garden is a lovely resting spot.

Wasn't sure about internet, I could have reception but didn't though, so partly my fault. The room was excellent, the furnishings did lack a touch of comfort. But all minor problems really.

Great sized room, good location, excellent value for money

The place has a slightly dated appearance that I thought was charming, but might not appeal to those looking for a more modern vibe.

Very large, well-appointed room. The complementary breakfast was nice - pretty standard buffet options, but it worked well for me! 24-hour room service (although after-hours options are limited). Staff were lovely and helpful.

Generally a bit tired and needs renovating. Small room (standard queen) with fridge and kettle etc inside the wardrobe because there was no space. Terrible view! Looked out onto all the air con vents which hummed all night. Could do with a sheer curtain, would at least hide the view.

Staff were accommodating and gave us a late check out on request (+1 hour). Secure parking ($15)

The room (we stayed in a loft room) was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. Location is close to the city - no need to drive and not far from the Lonsdale St eateries. The War Memorial is an easy walk. A good breakfast.

The receptionist didn't allow me to use the microwave to heat the food which I had as a takeaway from outside quoting that it could be poisonous. Hearing her was making me sick how one can be so robotic at operations and can't understand that 40-50 seconds of usage of the microwave can save someone's night to have a dinner in peace. Otherwise, everything else was good.

Ease of getting around the city as the location of the hotel is very central.

Warm welcome. We were able to take our dog and the courtyard was generously sized. Art deco architecture

The layout of the hotel was a little confusing to start with, and I needed some direction from the staff. I also welcomed the map that was shared with me.

I spent two nights at this comfortable, well-located hotel. It is obviously an older hotel and the furnishings reflected this, but it had a lovely atmosphere. My room was spacious with a very comfy bed. Everything was clean and tidy. There was a little courtyard outside my room and while it was a little untidy (leaves and twigs dropped from the tree and some large spiderwebs) I enjoyed sitting out after a little clean-up . All of the staff, from the young ladies at the front desk to the cleaner and room service staff, were welcoming and friendly. The buffet breakfast was delicious.

There was a water stain on the ceiling in our room 118. The floor was creaky and the carpet felt old.

The bathroom was clean. We were given the option to have a room with 2 double beds, rather than 1 queen bed. The staff were nice and friendly. Check in and out was easy. The location was great. Overall a great stay, thank you!

Nothing - no complaints at all. Great value for money and great breakfast

Travelling with my mum and they upgraded our room so we had a huge room with a separate bedroom and large queen beds and a sitting area. All on the ground floor so no stairs for my elderly mother.
