How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Only 4 knives and forks, some broken glass on the kitchen floor and dishes not very clean.
Nice and spacious, good air conditioning. Surprisingly quiet and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Soo close to the beach.

The showers need a really good clean. The extraction fan didn't work in the ensuite

Dishwasher smelled rancid. Blinds in lounge room were broken and wouldn't close limiting privacy.

The room had a small bug problem with some insects getting on even with the doors screen closed but nothing too bad. We had the top floor which gave us a small view but was not easy to get to with a family with young kids. For a family room we w ould have liked to have keys to the sliding door some could lock it for say with young children.
The location was great only a short walk to a great beach. The room was nice and a good size for the family

3 lots of Stairs and slippery tiles outside from rain. Bit of a rabbit warren to get to unit. Unit was full of owners belongings. Not necessary. No iron board. No table and chairs to sit at for meals.

Cleanliness was a bit hmmm…. Place didn’t look like it had been vacuum or swept for a while, dust bunnies under the bed and back courtyard could have done with some love, we had to clean up the debris on the ground because when it rained it started to flood as the drains were blocked. The shower started to flood also and when my husband investigated, he found the drain full of hair and had to unblock it, that was really unpleasant. And when we went to use the dishwasher we found it full of the previous occupants dirty dishes….
Great location, walking distance to all amenities and the beach is only a 2 min walk away and boys loved the pool. Comfortable accommodation, beds and pillows were great to sleep on.

I didn’t find it very clean. The bathrooms were not cleaned and cutlery/kitchen items were dirty. The days we were there were very hot and it would have been nice to have AC in the bedrooms.
Staff were very friendly and it was close to shops and beach.

Getting to the room is difficult. Parking is in the basement. No lift. Getting to room requires walking up one flight of stairs, across a courtyard and then up another flight of stairs. Extra bedding wasn’t great, very basic futon. Hair in bathroom around washing machine and sink. Broken washing basket.

Aircon struggled to get down to the bedroom so a bit hot. No lift and stairwell to the rooms very hot so makes a hot carrying suitcases and toddler. The room is a little dated but great value for money.
Good big clean pool, hot outdoor spa, free parking, large apartment, well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, close to beach and good food and bar options.

The dryer made grinding sound, so turned it off.
Loved the pool and hot tub. Enjoyed the apartment with plenty of room. The manager was very polite and accommodating. Would definitely visit again. Thank you. Apartment very close to shops, beach. Ideal location.

The apartment doesn't get serviced, so you have to go down to get more toilet paper etc. & towels cost extra. But I just washed them and did groceries when we arrived.
Location 10/10, couldn't ask for a better spot. 2min walk to the beach, coffee shop on the corner, lots of great food & restaurants & great access to all the gold coast attractions. My partner & I went there to surf & relax & we did exactly that. Apartment has full kitchen and laundry, and pool was relaxing too. The proximity to the beach was the best & you have a secure carpark under the complex. Bed was also very comfy. Great value for money!!! Would stay again & recommending to friends/family.
