Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe requested a refresh of the room by hanging the sign on the door handle and was only given fresh towels. We assumed the bed linen would be changed/made too, maybe that was our misunderstanding on a room refresh.
Perfectly located to trams into the CBD, and up the road from Queen Vic markets.

AustraliaRoom was very small and looked as if it had been cleaned in a hurry. Light and exhaust fan over kitchenette not working. no other lights in that area. Sliding door to bathroom not working properly and large crack in it that had been painted over. Same for wall between bathroom and bed. Bathroom sink leaked onto floor. Freezer door on fridge broken
Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful arranging for us to stay in the same room and not have to move for our 3rd night. Bed comfortable and nice fresh white bedlinen. Location was handy to supermarket, Victoria market, restaurants and cafes. Also free trams were nearby and convenient.

AustraliaThe hotel offer parking at 25 dollars a night. Upon requesting a park they told me all where booked. I asked the nearest parking and found parking on 33 bedford street a 6 mintue walk. Three days cost me 30. Definitely do not pay the hotel parking. Use the front 10 mintue parking to unload and park your car up in bedford street if you intend to use the tram system whilst in Melbourne.
Super close to the tram stop, pretty much walk outside and it's there. 20 mintue walk to the main shopping precinct.

AustraliaThe apartment (well, room) was very small with not much room to move around. It contained everything we needed as we really only needed somewhere to sleep, shower and change. The tv was wall mounted side on to the bed and above the very small table and two chairs so difficult to watch (unless sitting on the bed).
We were met by lovely friendly staff, as we had arrived early, they took care of our bags and notified us as soon as the room was available. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was easily accessible by tram (either Elizabeth St or William St). It was a very quiet part of town and in easy walking distance to the Queen Victoria Markets.

AustraliaWe had a studio room with double bed in one area and single on separate area, unfortunately no air flow of air conditioner/heater reaches this single bed area and our person felt very uncomfortable in this space to sleep, we needed to bring the mattress for this bed to the other area to receive heating/cooling. Also the double mattress very old and rickety, not very comfortable needs replacing. Single electronic key for our booking of 3, insufficient would have liked at least 2.
Great price, felt safe, small but great base for the three of us for a mini break in Melbourne. Outside the free tram cbd but close to vic markets and a tram stop nearby. A couple steps to entrance not accessible, once at level of foyer then accessible via lift to floor. We had small balcony, and kitchenette. Bathroom clean, small but very manageable.

AustraliaTv was in a cramped position directly above table & chairs. A smaller tv placed on opposite wall from beds would be better suited for watching from bed or table

AustraliaThe bathroom door to our room was so hard to open and close! Immediately after checking in and getting to our room, we went to try to use the bathroom and found the sliding door was so hard to close. It was dragging across the carpet, catching on it as we tried to move it, and you had to put almost all your arm strength in to try and close it all the way. Even then, there was still around a 3cm gap where the door just wouldn’t close all the way. Over the course of our stay, the door didn’t get any better and felt instead that it was getting worse. It was quite annoying, especially when trying to use the bathroom late at night! When looking at the mechanics of it, it looked like the screws and bolts holding the top of the door to the sliding frame were loose, causing the door to fall lower down and therefore drag across the carpet - making it super hard to move properly. I would make an effort to check the room and adjust/tighten the door for future guests. The only other comment we had was that there was major construction happening across the street and we were often woken up early in the morning by loud yells and bangs which carried through our room despite all doors being fully shut. This was obviously out of everyone’s control and was just the luck of the draw for timing, however it was quite a shock to be abruptly woken up in the morning on holidays by such loud noises.
It had everything you needed. From the kitchen to the bathroom, it had all the appliances and things that you might need over the course of your stay which was incredible. The location was incredible - such a short walk to the CBD and with the tram stop right around the corner it was so easy to travel to and fro each day no matter where you were heading. The bed was also super comfy which was fantastic because I find a bad/uncomfortable bed can often make or break your holiday. Overall an excellent place to stay!

AustraliaEverything was fine to me, didn’t have any issues.
I stayed for 2 nights for the Taylor Swift concert. I flew in from Brisbane. It was a good spot and close to everything. It was a little noisy as it’s on a main road but that doesn’t bother me, and I knew it would be considering it’s on a main road etc. Check in and check out was super quick and easy and communication was great. I would definitely stay there again :)
