Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good location and value for money. In a town with limited accommodation options this might be a good choice for those staying for a short period and on a budget.

FinlandThe rooms are a bit outdated and the small terrace was not very cozy. It was raining so didn't use it anyway but also could not see myself using it when the weather is nice.
The staff is super friendly. Laundry machines available which was great! I did not have the breakfast but it looked really good and they had a lot of options. All in all good quality. Great pool!

United KingdomOur windows/sliding doors to our balcony wasn’t very private. There were no net curtains on the windows/sliding doors and our balcony faced on to main staircase and corridors which meant a lot of people were passing by our balcony and could see right into our room. So we had to keep our heavy curtains closed most of the time. Long net curtains would have made the room more private and brighter and we could have enjoyed being in our room.
We didn’t have breakfast. The location was brilliant, staff and room service fantastic. The reception staff were very informative and drew us maps of places we wanted to find and showed us on the maps of how to get to pick up places for our tours.

AustraliaNoise from doors slamming, the room is not soundproof. Cheap toilet paper (had to use 4X more than quality paper) The most concerning thing was that the outside sitting area has a metal cage around it and in case of a fire you can not get out.

AustraliaNoise from hallway travels easily into rooms. A strip of wood or metal is needed between gap in front door and floor to reduce the noise.
I have stayed here before because the motel is in a great location, the rooms are very clean, and it is exceptional value for money. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Although a full breakfast was available in the dining room I especially liked the option of a boxed breakfast for $9. This is now my go to place when in Cairns.
