Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The cold wind off the water was not pleasant but that is not a critisism of the property!
Breakfast provisions were excellent, the homemade marmalade a bonus. Fresh flowers on the table were a nice touch.

One tiny quibble … maybe offer at least one slightly softer pillow?
A delightful and friendly host, Maria was hospitality embodied. The apartment was super clean and very comfortable with a great deal of thoughtfulness shown throughout. Homemade preserves, fresh bread, fresh eggs and a super egg poacher plus home made poached nectarines all surpassed our expectations. A great place to stay in a lovely little town.

What a wonderful haven. We were greeted by our host, Maria, who was brilliant, and a very welcoming lady. There so many special thoughts including homemade marmalade and honey. Even a decanter of port. The apartment was homely with nice extra touches.

The weather!
Denmark Waters was located about five minutes drive from downtown Denmark. A lovely view over the Wilson Inlet and the gardens surrounding were fabulous. It was easy to find and check-in was easy. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Beautifully positioned on the lake, and the property itself was very attractive and landscaped nicely. The room had everything we could need, a very generous array of breakfast foods, and the beds were super comfortable and cozy. And Maria was an exceptionally warm and helpful host, we couldn’t have wished for a better stay! I will absolutely come back if in Denmark again!

Very comfortable and a beautiful location overlooking Wilson Inlet. Lovely gardens and fascinating bird life. Everything and more that you could want for breakfast. Marie is a very welcoming host and Trevor even washed the eucalyptus gum off my car after I’d parked it under the tree!

Absolutely nothing. Couldn’t find a single fault.
Nice breakfast supplied in our accomodation. Our hosts Trevor and Maria were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Maria gave me a lovely bottle of bubbly for my birthday which was very special. The accommodation is in a wonderful quiet location with beautiful views over the inlet waters and the gardens are picturesque. We will definitely visit again.

Cant think of anything at all
The owners were vey kind and provided very generous and delicious breakfast supplies. They met us on arrival and saw us when we left. It was a picturesque location with delightful view and surrounded by lovely gardens. We enjoyed the peace and quite in such a tranquil setting.

Maybe the shower pressure was a bit low but honestly nothing to complain about at all. I would highly recommend this place overall to anyone wanting a really great place.
The stay was awesome, stunning location and very comfortable overall. Super close to town centre which was great. The property is beautiful and the sunrise over the water is the perfect place for the morning coffee. The brekky provided was great too and the host was wonderful.
