눉Where does one start! Firstly we didn't even stay in the 'chalet' (hut) so why should we reply you might ask? To give others warning of what to expect before booking. It may be fine for some but most we feel will, like us, be extremely disappointed. Driving in, the chalets look quaint in a semi wooded hillside location with views between the trees. Looked reasonable but then it all went pearshaped. No one there on arrival. The whole place deserted like a ghost village. Only a note on the 'office' window to say we were in chalet 4 and a few comments like to take care as there were snakes in the vicinity. No lighting so the terribly indistinct map to show where chalet 4 was could not be read if we arrived late. No parking at the chalet so we had to drag our cases over a grassy/ mud scrub area, up some ridiculously dangerous steps that were in a shocking state of repair that would have barriers round them in the UK to stop you using them. The path at the top of the steps was OK but had huge 2cm Bull Ants all over it. The 'chalet' was akin to my garden shed at home. Small, bare block walls inside. Facilities were basic. Ensuite toilet/shower/wash basin. Full stop! The door had a huge gap under that was partially closed off with a flexible strip but still left a 1cm gap. Remember the bull ants and snakes please! The room had enormous flies in it, one of which promptly bit a chunk out of my wife's leg producing a 5cm wheald. Nowhere to put cases except on the floor (snakes and bull ants again). No seating. No frills at all. No eating places except back in Jingebyne. This is Very Much for back packers who's alternative is sleeping in a tent. NOT for your normal tourist The location is up a 3km rough unsealed road. It is much nearer Jingebyne than Threadbo. We were not prepared to undergo these conditions at $112 a night so we left, returned to Jingebyne and booked in to the Rydges.

눉There were no staff present the entire time were there. We arrived to a letter stating the number of our cabin, that our breakfast for the following morning was prepared and the key. The breakfast was to be made by us. There was half a loaf of bread in the freezer, partly used orange juice in the fridge and milk which expired that day. Butter and jams were not refrigerated. Dead fly on table next to toaster. Outdoor furniture was broken. Only one bedside table, one lamp, hanging space for clothes was over the kettle. We left without breakfast.
