The only downside was the food, specifically the dinner, not as high quality considering the price point ($30 - $49 for mains). The breakfast was decent quality. Since this place is so remote, it's realistically the only option. If we had a kitchenette, we would have made our own dinner instead. We would 100% go again, but we'd pay the additional money if there was an option for a kitchenette.

Fantastic location and atmosphere. Great walks and opportunity to experience the wildlife. The rooms were clean and warm, a big plus was the massage chair. A key highlight were the pademelons, which gathered at the back every night for feeding.

    Poor wifi. Limited phone reception.

Location was good even after the 8 klm drive down a winding gravel road. Food at the restaurant was very good but menu is limited.

Needed a bit more stronger lighting in the cabins.

Traditional log cabins met our expectations. Very nice evening meal in the dining room with a log fire. Staff were friendly and helpful. Long drive in on a gravel road but worth the effort.

Very expensive. The rooms are comfortable but basic and don’t justify the per night cost (although I understand that it’s remote). The same with the restaurant - decent, basic food, but $44 for salmon and salad is outrageous.

The most beautiful remote location you could ever dream of. Pristine wilderness and not too far from cradle mountain.

Perhaps the welcoming staff ensuring you are aware of the facilities, i.e. what was available in the upstairs activity room.

Excellent and friendly, welcoming staff. Restaurant food was amazing! Novauelty feeding of wildlife an extra bonus. A beautiful remote place to visit. Included breakfast was fantastic.

Could do with a little tlc in the cabins but it is a 90’s fit out but the main restaurant guest room is a refreshing taste of what hospitality used to be like

The road in to the acconmmodation is about 8km on a gravel road, wouldn't advise driving at night. Very slow going on the road. There is no restaurants or shope nearby. Not all that convenient for accessing cradle Mountain.

Breakfast included. Nice dinner options- must make a reservation Wood cabins reminiscent of a time gone by.

The four mile, gravelled, mountainous access road was a slight shock to the system but we had hired a 4WD car so this passed off OK.

We loved the walks and wildlife and the breakfasts and evening meals were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful and watching them providing fruit and vegetable scraps to the pademelons at dusk was a real highlight.

Noise from next door when walking around as same floors across 4 cabins so was woken up few times 4am ,5am Restaurant was extremely overpriced for value of food but only place to eat around with no kitchen facilities ( camp kitchen would be good option ) even microwaves ? As menu only has one two options for vegetarian Would rate as a 3-1/2 star food but 5 star pricing with mains 36-40 each and small serving Breakfast ok value and serve size good

Lux spa suits were nice and clean beautiful views of forest from spa and massage chair in room breakfast included is great idea as spa rooms have no kitchenettes only kettle tea/ coffee and bar fridge

Nothing really, people need to realise it is in the wilderness with access alone a winding road and not have unreasonable expectations.

When we arrived it was a little disappointing as it looked run down. However the rooms and lodge were well maintained and the staff superb. We spent the afternoon relaxed in the sunroom reading - reminded me of childhood at the farm on a peaceful Sunday! Then a very nice walk through the forest. Food a bit pricey but very nice. Can’t get over the excellent staff who went above and beyond what anyone could expect. Most importantly if you have insomnia this is the place for you. Need the alarm to wake up!!

Maybe some more of the walking paths could be rejuvenated to be clearer .

Excellent rainforest retreat - renovated bathroom with great features . Beautiful outlook . Walks were great . The restaurant and bar was a great addition so you could relax after a day out walking . Close enough to Cradle Mountain for day trips
