How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Had no city views and it described on the website. There was all this stuff at the mini bar and a menu tucked hidden behind all the stuff, we nearly opened the stuff as we thought it was free only to find it was all a small fortune. If your gonna have stuff there make it more clear it costs stuff
We could get into our room after hours no fuss, and they rang us to confirm our booking

A little claustrophobic-downstairs, a little cave like, no cross flow ventilation. Smokers upstairs so smoke drifted down every night.
Good location, quiet enough, good space in the room.

One of the 2 EV chargers is broken. Carpet looks dirty.
Good location. Helpful staff. Breakfast is good. The suite is fairly spacious. Has EV charger.

Wifi in the room was glitching but Manager directed me to the vacant bar area to work where wifi was constant.

The room was dated and dark. One set of sheets and a towel was marked and looked unclean - I'm sure it was more of a stain, but poo brown is not a good look on clean sheets and white towels. The staff changed the items very quickly. Hovever the brown marks were in very obvious places and should have been noticed by cleaning staff.
The 2 bedroom family room was a good size and we were on the ground floor and it was very easy to access. All staff were excellent and the onsite restaurant and breakfast was great. We had a great online deal which made the stay very good value.

Breakfast was well below expectation for a Rydges hotel. Room smelt like cigarettes.

Two bedroom appartments would be better if there was more than 1 lounge to sit on. Ideally appt is for 4 people but only room for 2 on lounge. Dining chairs only other option. Beware of appts with shower over bath. Need to put in grab rails if nothing else.

The included breakfast was continental and both mornings everything was nearly empty. The shower was very noisy

Smoking trays and cigarette butts left in trays out front door of non smoking. Dinner scraps and food plates left outside front door for two days.
Enjoy very much the location decor and comfortable beds.

I felt that the restaurant could have a little better feel. Chairs and tables were average it looked like a cheap cafe instead of up market restaurant. The theme of the bar needs to be extended to the restaurant so it feel like its all one

The WiFi didn't work most of our time there. The in room tea selection was sparse and my boys were disappointed that there was no hot chocolate as we've had in most other places we've stayed. The pull out couch had evidence of other people's stays on the floor underneath it - a hair brush, rubbish.
The location was handy being walking distance into town and easy to get onto the main roads to head in different directions for our bushwalks. We had an executive suite which included a spa bath. The room was quite comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The included breakfast was pretty good with a selection of cereals, breads, pastries, muffins, fruit, yoghurt, juice, coffee, tea. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

The only down fall was the minimal room in the shower however the children enjoyed the bath.
The rooms were spacious and lovely. Each room had a television which saved fights. The beds were huge and comfortable. The kitchenette was spacious and had everything you need. Bar and restaurant was lovely.

Didn't like no designated parking for room numbers. Rooms need a makeover. Starting to become "tired'.
