Water pressure in shower a little temperamental, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with.

The bed mattress wasn't very comfy and we got cold. Suggest a quilt / doona on the bed would be better suited to the environment. But it had a a great feel about it. Room probably had too much stuff in it as it was rather cramped.

What a great surrounds. Absolutely picturess. When we were returning to the accommodation late that night we passed a wombat, possum, rabbits, kangaroo and a deer with huge antlers that started in the middle of the road. It was magical. The big red tree outside our window, the kookaburras, beautiful! Breakfast was great, lovely. Thank you.

Loved the location, a good place for some quiet time, perfect for couples, only thing I would say is could do with some softer pillows and a warm duvet, would definitely come back!!

Kettle needed a clean. Room was musty smelling and dusty. Bit scary driving there at night as the roads are narrow and unsealed.

There was nothing that we didn't like. The only thing I could fault was the cleanliness of the oven in the kitchen.

We loved the beautiful rustic character of the home and the comfortable bed and cosy room. Staff were really helpful and hospitable. We were really happy with our stay. Wish it had been longer 🙂

Road to get to property in need of tar, narrow. A bit too crowded with furniture items for me but others would love.

Rod, owner, is very helpful and pleasant. Property is filled with antique type furniture, access to breakfast items was plentiful. Access to lounge, sitting room with gas fire place, kitchen so great if travelling with friends

When arriving back after dinner when it was dark, there was no lighting on the steps that lead to the front door. I think there is a light around the front area, but maybe it wasn't working on the night I was there.

I've stayed here a number of times and have found Rustic Retreat to be the perfect place to base myself, when visiting family. It's a gorgeous scerene area to get away from the hustle and bustle. Ample breakfast items were available in my room and if needed I could use the kitchen for a cook up. The verandah overlooking the garden and surrounding area is just perfect to sit down and just relax.

Not technically a dislike but Google Maps took us down a dirt road to nowhere close to the property (no idea why it did this). We eventually found the right road. Just something to be mindfull of.

Gorgeous house and lovely host. Comfortable bed and fantastic amenities. Has everything you need. Wish we had more time to stay longer. We will stay again if we are in the area.

A little bit of dusting would of been good

Breakfast was a choice between cereal and fruit or bacon and eggs or both! Plenty of tea coffee and orange juice. Lots of munchies provided.

The room was a bit dustier than we would have liked. Neither my partner or I are asthmatic, but my partner found his lungs really reacted to the amount of dust in the room unfortunately. Opening the bedroom window helped, but it was a little too cold for that to be ideal. The lighting in the room was cosy, but with only one bathroom to use, not having "good" lighting made it a little hard to get ready/do makeup in the room.

Lovely cosy rooms with a delightful reading nook (bonus points for the fireplace burning when we got home from the wedding). Rod was really lovely and incredibly accommodating

comfy bedroom , if not a little cramped. A little unsure regarding what was for breakfast; do we search the pantry and fridge or use what little was in our room fridge? Lovely open fire . Wonderful furnishings.. Great views, very quiet,, easy to find, good parking.

It was cold but it didnt matter because there was heaters. The stairs and rock driveway but that was only because I was wearing heels.

We were supplied breakfast which we did not expect. The view was amazing. There was a heater in the room. It was like a little treasure hunt to get our key but with really clear cut precise instructions.
