Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaOutback bar is only food venue that disappointed me ...steak was overpriced for the quality provided.Housekeeping could be based on customer preferences for morning versus afternoon.
The staff and the hotel environment are great with food and drink offering ...very reasonable. Events were really organised and original. Lobby bar was great for coffee or an irish coffee or casual lunch or dinner.

AustraliaDid not get requested connecting rooms, couldn't check in until 3.05pm and check out time of 10 am is too early with no flexibility. Meals too expensive, no option for breakfast other than $48 buffet. In room instant coffee- no nespresso pods. Not good value for money. Would not reply to my messaging requests through the booking app yet I got daily junk email from them in the week leading up to the arrival date.
Location close to airport and Uluru. Free parking, easy access.

United KingdomThe price is rather elevated and it feels like they have a captive audience. If you charge this amount, then at least make it five star rather than the 3/4 that it is. They have a really good training programme for staff but truth be told they need more supervisors to sharpen the service.
Great location and great swimming pool for kids. Good size rooms.

Australiawould have been good if interconnected rooms were an option if you have 2 children 2 adults. - we were in room 257, music is played via external speakers from very early AM, can’t leave balcony door open if music playing 24/7 - food menu is limited and same at all alacarte restaurants within sails

This was a beautiful accommodation for our last stop in Australia. There are amenities all within walking distance from Sails in the Desert which was great. The staff and hotel were everything we wanted. I would definitely stay here again.

United States of AmericaWe didn't eat breakfast at Sails it was very expensive; we ate lunch and the meal was very disappointing--large quantities but inedible, service was very slow from food to check BUT the cocktail was excellent.
Room was comfortable but a little dated. The cafe at a short walk was excellent value for breakfast.

United States of AmericaWe did not have the best experience with food (in-room dining took very long and the order was incorrect and dining at the restaurant also took a while). It certainly wasn't a bad experience though - probably just a result of a very busy time at the hotel. Would still recommend overall!
We enjoyed our stay at Sails at the Desert. The rooms were big, the resort handled most logistics which made travel easier, parking was readily available each time and the staff were nice. We didn't use the free airport shuttle provided by the hotel/resort because we rented a car, but that is a very nice benefit for guests. We also appreciated the free ice water in the lobby to refill our water bottles.

United KingdomThe pool bar looks run down in contrast to the rest of the resort. It’s all corrugated iron. The menu is just the same as inside - could be more casual. The opening hours of 12-5 are too short. People would like to buy drinks etc sooner - hence the queue at 12

United KingdomThe hotel could have provided an information booklet on trips at Uluru, there are lots of free activities and walks at Uluru but we didn't know until visiting the culture center at Uluru where they where very helpful.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean, the service Robert the assistant manager and Tia restaurant staff was excellent, facilities were good around the restaurant and offered a free shuttle. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The field of lights was amazing and very child friendly.

United KingdomTV’s in the room did not work, I think they are all old and need replacing. If you’re paying 5 star prices you should be getting a working television that can play things other than a welcome video.

United KingdomOn arrival our room smelled so bad we had to go back to reception. It smelled like a combination of dampness and stale cigars. Manager was surly but agreed to move us. Next room was overlooking the noisy workmen who were laying new pipes - but at least it didn't smell. Not even an apology.
Breakfast was good and Tia (breakfast host) was always smiling and welcoming. Made a nice start to the day.
