Nothing, the worst part about this trip was I kept punching my works door code into the lock but if that's it, then y'all have done very well :)

It's all about the experience. The beds were comfy, rooms were warm and clean and honestly would stay here again. Comfier than what the prisoners would have copped back in the day. Love this place so much!! Worth the money

Interesting place for a stopover, easy check in and communication. Nice to let guests to "graffiti" the concrete with chalk like in the prison.

Ventilation in the rooms, but due to cell restrictions, this is understandable. Cooler months would not be as much an issue.

We loved the novelty of staying in the gaol. We had a 2 bedroom self-contained area. The community areas were well set up, and the information was well displayed. Location to shops, dining, and tourist spots. Instructions on self checkin very detailed and worked well.

Unique experience. Charming , passionate owners. Expectations well managed. The limitations of this historic complex were well explained so we didn't compare versus a typical accommodation stay. Would definitely stay again

To be honest it was not very comfortable as the room was so tiny. But it’s worth a go if you haven’t been to an accommodation like this.

Excellent value for money. I just wished I had booked earlier so we could get a double bed room with ensuite. There was nothing not to like. Great location across the road from a brewery too.

Staying in the old gaol was a very unique stay! Wonderful to walk around the grounds and enjoy the communal spaces.

Did get a little hot in the cell with no AC or fan, but it isn’t unbearable.

Really cool property, in a real prison. Kitchen facilities are excellent, very well equipped. Showers were good and clean. Staff were awesome and helpful.

No weather protection (Eg. awning) over the cell door, so easy for room to get wet with limited space for shoes.

Stayed in Cell 2 overlooking the courtyard. Excellent execution to turn a prison into comfortable and cosy hostel. Great information boards on the history and life of the prisoners felt like a live-in museum. Nice common facilities were also good. Overall good experience and great value. Room was very clean, and freshly painted.

Unfortunately our rooms opened onto kitchen and outdoor eating common space. Woken around 7.30am to smoke detector twice, loud talking and crying child. Just life but kinda killed the vibe a bit 😕

Authenticity of experience-yet modernised. Staying in a prison, sleeping in cells, the yards, gardens and all the information made it come alive and felt like I was in a movie. Wonderful location as able to walk to town and lake lookout. James was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Cannot beat this place for experience! Lovely staff, great location with a brewery across the road and short stroll into town, and what a fun experience! The story and history of the site is everywhere.
