The best place to stay in Cairns. Originally booked here but was transferred to the sister accommodation Travellers Oasis due to renovations.Incredible!! Everything was catered for and more.Kathy is amazing with so much knowledge and suggestions. The grounds are beautiful with added history of the property everywhere to see.

By far the best hostel iv’e stayed in my journey around Australia, so peaceful and tranquil. Beds are so comfy they place is kept clean and tidy, guests that stay here are friendly and sociable the pool is awesome a great place to stay and unwind, this was a dream coming from a 110 bunk in one dorm hostel plus the Staff here are amazing and go above and beyond for there quests i highly recommend booking with Tropic Days for your stay here in Cairns. 💯

I did not have dollar coins for the airconditioning as i arrived late at night as my train was xxld and a coach was arranged.

Firstly Gabe the owner is a great guy, we conversed and I enjoyed the conversation. The room was excellent, very clean. The surroundings and atmossphere was great, very quiet area. Plenty of travel info and brochures. I would love to revisit and will advise my friends and contacts withour hestation. Hey I live in Melbourne not the United Arab Emirates.

The room was spacious, and I absolutely loved having my own fridge in the room! Yes you have to pay for aircon, but realistically, $3 will get you 9 hours worth of aircon, which is plenty for a day/night unless you're in your room the whole time. Located in a quiet street, it feels super safe staying there. Staff are very helpful and the whole place has such a great chilled out vibe. Only heard about 10 minutes worth of partying in a week long stay, which is pretty good for a hostel environment. The bathroom was also really nice, and the whole place was cleaned to a really good standard. Just don't forget the bug repellent (no matter where you're staying in FNQ!) and you'll have a great time :)

A bit far from Cairns activity, but if you have a bike, a skateboard etc, that is okay. As well, some people tend to forget that they share a space with others. In this context, their lack of hygiene becomes a problem for everyone around.

Very friendly staff, Gabriel really makes everything for you to have a great time here. We wanted to go on a day-trip to the Great Barrier reef, and he advised us explaining us all the pros and cons of each cruise. That was very helpful and contributed a lot to the fact we had an awesome day on the water. As well, he regularly organises dinner nights, he and his wife cook for everyone, you get to meet new people, and have another good time. Well, being here is just about having a great time, and they make sure of that. Small shops just nextdoor.

Arriving outside their limited 12-4 reception hours makes it very difficult. I arrived when they were meant to open at 12pm midday and no one was there despite calling in advance to see if someone would be there and I was worried I would miss my flight waiting for someone to open up reception to drop my luggage off. However the room key security box for after hours was great.

All staff at the property were very helpful and helped with any requests. Secure place to keep your luggage, and compound is secure. Lovely friendly vibe with other guests.

Some carpentry work was being done the day I arrived so a bit noisy but to be expected in a hostel. Quite a long walk from the Esplanade and greyhound/premier bus stop.

Friendly helpful welcoming staff. Beautiful garden and chill out area with hammocks. Set in a peaceful neighbourhood with good sense of community. Spacious well equipped cooking facilities upstairs and downstairs.

Lovely feeling to this place and you can tell that the owners are hands-on and really care about the place. Felt very safe and was spotlessly clean, including the communal kitchen. We had a double room with shared facilities with one other room. It was quiet, private and clean with a fridge and tv. The free bicycles were an added bonus! Gabe and Cathy, the owners, are very nice people and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend :-))
