I loved the design and the athmosphere at the place. Also, it is very quiet. Large cosy room with big windows. Possibility to have classical music in the room or bathroom:) nice sound system. Also cosy bathroom with a very nice bathtub. Nice ambiance at breakfast too!

Whilst in a quiet area of the town traffic noise could be heard in the room. Operation of the heating was a little confusing, perhaps some guidance could be provided in the room

Great central location for exploring the old town with view overlooking the cathedral. Accommodation is within a very historic building and unique design of room makes excellent use of the character of the building. Very good buffet breakfast served in sister B&B next door

Only negative was our loft room had drain issues as there was a noticeable odour, my sisters room didn’t have this so must be an issue with loft room, we were out most of the time so was bearable, otherwise nothing else to dislike about the property

The only negative from our point of view was the bed. It was comfortable but it was two beds together and we kept falling into each other and dipping down during the night. Would of preferred a proper double to cosy up to. Not a bad review but for our wedding anniversary would of loved to be a le to cosy up together without sinking into the middle.

The meet and great from Oliver was lovely and very welcoming. Informed us about parking even before we arrived.The room was beautiful. Top floor, very romantic. Cleaned daily. Wine and water on arrival. Breakfast was plentiful and waited for us after having a lie in. Bacon, eggs, fresh bread and orange. Coffee machines in every room. The location was amazing! Everything close by. Thank you 1669. We could come and go as we like.

Lots of stairs to loft, and tall shower/tub can be difficult to step in and out. If you have large luggage or cannot navigate stairs I would suggest choosing another room on a lower floor.

Within walking distance to train station, and just 5 minute walk to Markt square. Very nice breakfast in building next door. Loft room well furnished. Some drinks furnished in room and coffee machine in room or lobby. Overall very nice place in quiet location but close to most tourist sites.

Had to deal with stairs and luggage, but this was expected and one needs to be prepared.

Good rooms, wonderful breakfast, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Ideal for a couple of nights and within walking distance of all the sightseeing spots. Great hosts!

Difficult access if you have mobility problems - very steep /narrow stairs to loft room One-way system makes access difficult . Look for Korte Vuldersstraat instead of given address of Sint Salvatorstraat

Nothing.

It is a nice welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Spacious rooms, big bath and just lovely. It is central to explore all of Bruges. This is our 3rd time at 1669.

I asked for a twin room but got a double. The loft room was nice, but the bath very high to climb in and out of and shower curtain much too long so very slippery underfoot. My friend found it hard to make use of the bath/shower. Also the air con, although on, was very low and I couldn’t turn it up so room was quite warm. There wasn’t any fire evacuation notice either and as we were in the loft room, this was a concern to my friend.

Bed was comfortable and room very clean. Staff at breakfast very nice and breakfast delicious and plentiful.

B&B 1669 is easy to find and in a great location, within short walking distance of the train station and all the main sights of Bruges. The building is stunning and our apartment (on the top floor) was well-appointed and clean. Breakfast each morning (in the B&B next door) was extensive and delicious. Other than at check-in, we didn’t see much of the hosts but didn’t need to. A well-organised and efficiently run B&B overall.

Nothing the hosts could change anything about. It is an old building, you better be able to climb some stairs. But this was communicated clearly. And the Mosquitos, but I would have no idea how to circumvent this. So, absolutely no complaints, only a few things to be aware of. We loved it.

Great location, super friendly staff, old, authentic and original. Great breakfast. We loved it.
