Expensive breakfast but there were so many restaurants near you it’s not a real issue

The staff. Extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Only too happy to help whatever your needs. The location of the hotel is excellent in a quiet street, adjacent to the canal and minutes from Markt square. The rooms are warm and inviting. Beds, linen and pillows very comfortable. We really loved the building quaint and charming. The lounge boasting a fireplace draws you in with comfortable sofas and chairs. Its right next to the dining area which is beautifully decorated. The cream tea in the afternoon with scones, clotted cream, jam and fruit, delicious.

Booked as a family group for a special occasion celebration. Location is fantastic, only a short walk to all the main attractions. Staff were fantastic, very attentive and helpful. Lovely start to the stay with a complimentary box of Belgian chocolates and a glass of champagne. If you’re looking for a hotel in Brugge with a little bit more luxury or romance than normal then this is the place.

Wasn't a huge fan of the frosted, unlockable doors on the bathroom. A couple were checking out when we arrived and they were provided with a snack and water for their journey, but we were not offered the same when we left.

The hotel has fantastic decor - it is not of modern style, but it has character which is what we like from a city break hotel. Dumon chocolates upon arrival and a free drink each was appreciated. The continental breakfast was lovely and there were lots of pastry options. The local canal boat trip was right outside the back of the hotel, which was really handy. The overall location was absolutely perfect. Staff are really polite and helpful. Everywhere smelled fantastic and was really clean.

They need to get some highchairs. We were really surprised that they didn't have any, especially as they have cots for the rooms. It made eating at breakfast a challenge with a baby. It would also be good to have a kettle in the room.

The hotel was in a great central location. Rooms were clean, and the decor was beautiful. The staff were really helpful, and breakfast in the morning had a great selection. It felt like a luxury hotel.

Either lose the wall-to-wall carpet or get a vacuum made for carpets. In all the hotels in the world, I never had a problem, but they didn't vacuum. Then I saw they had a vacuum for parquet floors. No wonder as you can't clean a carpet with that. So that was a challenge to get it clean, but finally they did it, and what a difference.

The staff, the cozy nook in the living room with the balcony window seat overlooking the river, having Christmas breakfast! Friendly, enthusiastic staff who know hospitality. A charming, cheerful room overlooking the interior courtyard, so sunny but quiet. It is beautiful but unfussy and has a great location! Everyone was so helpful and made you feel welcome. The best part is that the hotel is on the canal and is on a side street, so no tourists are parading in front. My only wish is for a restaurant, even a café not just breakfast...

Very minor points: the scent of candles in the reception area was too strong. It would have been nice if soft music was played in the breakfast room.
