Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFor me as I say I prefer a Hard bed. Other than that it was fine.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had a great breakfast both days. The bed was a little soft for me but our friends loved it as they like a soft bed. So down to personal preference. The rooms were a little small but was fine for us as we were only there for two days. Beds were larger than a normal double. Hotels in a great position and plenty of room in the car park.

United KingdomWe used their car park which was behind the property. The only issue we could have had is if we’d used our car they informed us that they locked the gates at 6pm. This should be on their website informing guests.
It was fairly central, about 20 minutes walk fro centre of town.

CanadaLots of stairs to get to the top floor and no elevator as it’s an old building- double-check which floor you’re on if doing lots of stairs would be a problem for you.
It’s one of the cheaper options for staying in Bruges and is located in a quieter neighbourhood than the core tourist area.

United States of AmericaEverything was excellent. I must clarify that I previously submitted a review that it was intended for another hotel and Booking helped me to corrected it.
This is a family run hotel, they provide a delicious house made breakfast and the feeling that you are in a warm safe environment. Walking distance from main attractions. When our stay came to an end, the owner offered to take us to the train station.

Czech RepublicIt’s pretty far from the center, so keep it in mind that way there and back will take some time. It’s located just in front of the church, so be prepared for its sounds.

GermanyIt has everything I needed - the room is plenty big, clean, quiet. While the hotel is a bit outside of the city center, everything is within walking distance. There is also a convenience store just around the corner. Staff is friendly, helpful and fluent in about any language spoken during my stay (4).

United Kingdom£20 a day to park at the hotel was a surprise as I thought it would've been included. However, we soon realised that Parking in Bruges was at a premium, so we decided it was reasonable. No Tea or Coffee in the Rooms was a surprise, but maybe a Continental thing?
Great Location & Great Breakfast. Was clean & tidy. It was welcoming & seemed efficient. Was a good base to go from.

United KingdomThe shower/toilet room was extremely cold as there was no heating in there. The radiator was making a clicking noise when the heating was on - a few extra beers resolved the problem :)
Great location - easy walking distance into the main square but far enough away to be very quiet. Lovely host who helped us with some local information. They have their own restaurant around the corner which served some excellent food including a traditional stew that was out of this world. Safe parking at the back of the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable and a very nice breakfast. Look forward to coming back in the future.
