The lift kept getting stuck and going up and down missing my floor due to issues with the key card

Recent renovations have been somewhat minor. A good number of rooms will need a more comprehensive overhaul within the next 2-3 years, I would prefer a more contemporary design. This hotel is a perfectly decent option but expectations should not be guided by its 5* ranking.

This hotel boasts traditional charm. I normally enjoy the personalised service and the food. The staff really made an effort to accomodate my room preferences and I am grateful for that!

The low-water pressure toilette.

The room was excellent, except the toilette had very low water pressure, so one has to flush at least three times. Other than that, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

It needs some renovation. At least the carpet need to be replaced, and there are place on the wall where the paperwall came off. I wouldn’t call this a 5 star hotel. It’s more like a nice, regular, clean and comfortable hotel. Probably 4 stars.

It is a lovely hotel with everything what you need for business travel. Good breakfast, available restaurant, coffee tea equipment in the room. Big rooms and a comfortable desk for work. There was a beautiful decoration for Christmas and a fire place :-)

The room was very noisy with a school right next door. Breakfast was awful. Nothing was fresh. All hot items cooked in the microwave (including the eggs).

The bed was v hard - matter of personal taste, I know but my back needed more give! And the breakfast was an outrageous 37€ per person. We went to a local cafe instead.

The information about the hotel on Booking.com does not correspond to reality: -the hotel requires renovation, it can’t exactly be called luxurious. -there is no minibar in the room -the robe was terrible, more like a rag -strange staff who only greeted my husband (not me) -and, of course, blocking 300 euros on the card. There is no information about this anywhere. I will file a complaint with Booking.com so that the hotel will add information about blocking funds on the guest's card.

The staff did not seem to speak Dutch. The breakfast buffet was extensive, but very 'conservative'; there were hardly any alternatives for vegetarians and certainly not for vegans. There was only 1 bottle of almond milk, lots of charcuterie (meat & cheese) and 'standard' hot dishes: bacon, sausages, potatoes, mushrooms, beans and eggs. There were no plant-based yoghurt or sweets/pastries available. There was plenty of fresh fruit though, but out of season and certainly not local (strawberries and melon in October?). In the room, separate disposable plastic bottles are still used for shampoo, shower gel and even bottled water. This really could be done better! Please install and use refillable containers for bath and shower.

Pleasant, friendly service from the staff. Very elegant hotel, with nice areas and very spacious rooms. Very good beds! The staff made no problem of us already depositing our luggage in the morning before check-in and coming to pick it up in the evening after check-out.
