Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe bathroom was terrible, toilet seat was not attached and the flush was hanging off the wall. I don’t mind a small bathroom but this one was ridiculous and it was impossible to shower without flooding the floor.

United Arab EmiratesA few things needed a little maintenance. A bedside light flopped instead of adjusting like it should, the sink veneer was starting to crack, and the bathroom door handle kept falling off. Not big things, but they took the shine off of an otherwise nice stay.
Clean and quiet room in an excellent location. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. Overall it was a good place to stay, and I would go back.

PortugalA little pricey for the facilities but very appropriate for a night.
The rooms were comfortable and the temperature was perfect. The location is ideal once the hotel is in the city centre. We had a nice experience.

MexicoThe bathroom is a little small, but nothing out of the ordinary.
It is very well located, clean and confortable, but not for people that expect sophisticated amenities. The professionalism and fair price of the place makes it a very good option.

IndiaThe room is smaller and so is the shower. Wouldnt recommend carrying large suitcases inside the room, try keeping them at the reception if possible.
Excellent Location - Right in the middle of all the action. You will be spoilt with a choice of restaurants, coffee shops bars and brand shops nearby. The city centre and attractions are only a shout away. Superb Vibe in the location. If you plan it ahead one can best enjoy the farmers market in a square right in front of the hotel (I think it takes place on weekend)

SpainThe room was a little cold and there weren't extra duvets (warm blankets). The duvet was not very warm. There was a high step to enter to the bathroom.
Good location and the room had 2 chairs. The view to the square was nice.

South AfricaThe location is good in the sense that it is right in the heart of the historic town. However, the area is quite noisy. There was noise till far into the early hours of the morning. So unfortunately, I did not sleep so well. We had booked a room for 60 Euro. When we arrived at Lace hotel, we found out that the room we had booked, was very basic and it was on the 4th floor. The lady at reception immediately offered us a much better room on 1st floor, which had a small balcony, and 2 comfortable armchairs, a small desk, and a nice bathroom. So we paid Euro 20 per night extra for a better room. The room did not have a kettle / facilities to make tea or coffee. It would have been nice to be able to make some tea or coffee in the room late at night and / or early in the morning.
The instructions provided by Booking.com to reach the parking, were very clear. It was easy to go into the parking and to reach the hotel. It was nice to be in the center of the historic town. We could walk around safely till late at night and return to our hotel room easily. We enjoyed doing a walk around Brugge the next day and to do a boat trip on the canals. .

LithuaniaThe location of the hotel is fantastic, the room was comfortable, although outdated. The days we visited had high temperatures and there is no AC, however, there was a fan in the room which helped the situation quite a bit. The hotel staff is very hospitable and friendly. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel when we arrived earlier than the check-in. NB! When booking this hotel have in mind the street corner the hotel is located is quite noisy at night - we knew what to expect, so it did not bother us.

NetherlandsEven though the price was lower than most of the options it barely worth it. The room had some bad cosmetic conditions such as wallpapers coming off the wall a bit, as well as functional issues such as broken light switches and sockets. In addition I do not like when you can’t lock the door from the inside (even by key) it’s a bit insecure for my opinion. There was a bit of a mold in the shower and there was no hair dryer (which is not critical but not cool either). Also I was a bit confused that I only needed to say my name to check-in (wasn’t asked about any confirmation or passport), so in theory anyone could check-in just by saying my name. And the breakfast was okay but it’s only a couple of buns with a glass of juice (which may be okay for some people)
The location is good, check in/out process is really quick, the price is lower than most of the other options.
