Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe zone is front of the hotel is full of work constructions, this is nothing against the hotel but it is good to know that the views from the street are not good.
tiny but nice gym, breakfast was incredible and even though there is a spa we didn't have time to try it but definitely will try next time. Beds were super comfy and the room was amazingly big. The toilet is in a separate bathroom (inside the room) which is great for families haha.

United KingdomThe area was under construction so it did sometimes get noisy if the window was open.
We only had breakfast was but it was great value for money. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the train station which was really helpful and only a 20 minute walk from the city centre. The room was very clean and perfectly made up for us every day. The staff were all very lovely and our train didn't leave until late and we were allowed to leave our luggage with them after check out and be able go explore some more of the city without having to worry abour our suitcases.

AustraliaMajor long term road works in front of the hotel. Did not feel safe walking 20 minutes past much rubbish many empty broken window buildings to reach Brussels square and historic tourist centre. We arrived 1 hour early and asked if it would be possible for an early check in - the woman at reception said our room may be ready in half an hour so we waited. Others arriving after us were allowed in early but we were not given our key until 2pm exactly, not a minute earlier. She didn’t care and said staff have an order of cleaning rooms and she couldn’t do anything about it. I found it hard to believe that not 1 twin room was ready early when many double rooms seemed ready for others early. She was a sour start to an otherwise pleasant stay, would not recommend staying here again due to her lack of empathy and ‘ghetto feeling’ location
Large nicely furnished room with large shower and bathroom. Delicious buffet breakfast

United KingdomThe location. Whilst convenient for the rail network, it was in an area that was undergoing extensive regeneration. The hotel was a short walk (10 mins) to the centre of town which was great, but the walk to and from was not the best. On our way home that night, at times it felt unsafe.
Hotel was great. What you would expect from a Mercure. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms modern, clean and well presented. Great little bar area which served a good selection of beers, wines spirits and food (pizza). There are pleasant gardens to rear of hotel.

United KingdomWe chose not to have breakfast as felt it was over priced
5 minute walk from Eurostar and about 20 minute walk to Grand Place so excellent location. Room was ready for an unexpected early check in and check by 12pm is a great advantage. Staff were amazing and very polite. Hotel, facilities and room all clean and well maintained. Room was spacious and equipped with toiletries and hair dryer, tea/coffee and water. Heavy black out curtains stopped the early morning sun getting in! I was worried about the building works right outside the hotel and the noise in the morning, but none heard. We didn’t use the gym or spa but went to have a look and they looked great.

United KingdomWe loved the hotel so very few negatives to report, but being hyper critical, the pillows are synthetic for obvious allergy reasons, but they don't offer enough support for us, so we struggled with neck ache initially. We would prefer a bigger TV as the one in our room felt tiny given the wall space available, and we are used to a much bigger screen at home! At least there are some English channels available if you don't have a streaming facility like Netflix to connect into the HDMI port, as we did. The immediate area around the front of the hotel looks very dirty and uninviting due to the major Metro station development project on the doorstep, so it feels rather rundown, but there is nothing the hotel can do about that really, they have to endure it until completion. Once inside however, you are not aware of the deafening works going on outside, so don't let that put you off. We will definitely stay here again when we return, as it is welcoming and good value for money.
The hotel doesn't look much from the outside, and the roadworks can be challenging to navigate on your first day, however, once inside, the hotel is really very good. The staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly, and the interior looks modern and clean. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable (despite flimsy pillows) and there was a good size safe in the wardrobe for valuables. The nice big shower and kettle for hot drinks gave us all we needed for a comfy basecamp from which to explore Brussels. Great blackout curtains make for a good night's sleep in the dark, and during the day mesh curtains allow light in, yet maintain full privacy. There is a lovely big jacuzzi to relax in down in the basement, as well as a sauna, steam room and even a gym for the more energetic guests! There is a nice reception area with bar, spacious rear courtyard seating area, and some basic food options like pizza if you don't want to venture out - but there are two great steakhouses literally round the corner if you have time - they are open late and, unusually, don't sell alcohol which we found odd but refreshing as it keeps the cost down! Location wise the hotel was perfect for us, as we took Eurostar from London direct to Brussels-Zuid Midi station, which was quick and easy, and the hotel is only a five minute walk from the very large station, as long as you exit from the correct side, and walk straight through the centre of the bus terminal and cross the main road at the zebra crossings to get round the roadworks. If you go any other route, like we did on arrival, it is a bit hazardous with luggage and took much longer, especially unwelcome as it was raining! Due to an early start, we arrived a couple of hours before the check in time, but the staff were very accommodating and let us check in straight away which was a great help and allowed us time to settle in and chill out before venturing out to explore.
