Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Small fridge! Shower cabine built in the top of a bathtub that would leak and there would be water on the floor after each shower.
Excellent location. Satisfactory size room. Decent breakfast. Excellent for a short stay.

It would soon require renovation as some parts (carpet, curtains, furniture ) are dated and very used. We didn't have the breakfast so I cannot comment.
A quiet hotel at a good location close to buses/ metro and the EU quarter. The room had great view over the Cinquantenaire Park, was very spacious and comfortable! The personnel was very friendly and helpful.

My room had two twin beds put together and they kept separating, that was not very comfortable for sleeping.
Great location and amazing staff. Very good value for money. I would 100% come back.

The room was spacious, very clean and quiet even though we were on the street side of the hotel. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Short walk to shops, metro, and buses. Plus point is the park opposite.

The parking spot is only for 3 cars.
Our room opens to a beautiful garden, Metro is very close.

The hotel has its own small but beautiful park (our windows looked directly onto it). Located within walking distance of all historical and cultural attractions of Brussels. A big plus is that there is a sauna, but you need to order it in advance at the reception, as it is private.

The shower wasn’t working properly so water from the hose filled up the bath a bit so was standing in ankle deep water while showering. The shower head itself worked fine though. The room was very warm from central heating that I couldn’t control. I opened a window to let some fresh air in, but then found out the smoking area for the hotel is right outside underneath so it was noisy when people were standing out there smoking late at night.
Great location close to a metro station so it was easy to connect to the city and beyond. There’s also a tram that runs nearby. I walked into the city one day and it only took maybe 45mins at a leisurely stroll, lovely to walk through the parks on the way. Some nice little bakeries and cafes nearby for food, and the area felt safe even later in the evening as the street is well lit and many people walking along. Staff were friendly and happy to kind my bag for the day before checking in and after checking out.

I liked everything. May be I am not a person with plenty of pretences but the hotel offers everything a person needs for a comfurtable stay in Brussels. Including a friendly staff.
This is probably the fourth or fifth time I stay in this hotel, it's location is very convenient for some meetings that I have in Brussels. I like the hotel: it is everything a person needs and nothing too much. And has a beautiful garden, that one needs to spend some time in.

It would be nice if they had a shuttle. I’m sure many more people would stay there if they did.
We had a very comfortable room facing the park, as requested. We had arrived on an early morning flight, and the staff let us drop off our bags, and then checked us in as soon as a room was ready without waiting until the official check in time. They were very kind and helpful, and we loved being able to take a stroll in the park in the early evening when the park comes alive with people. But the thing we love best of all is the breakfast room and the breakfast itself which exceeded our expectations. I expect to stay here every time I come to Brussels in the future.

The breakfast was OK, but I would have preferred more vegetarian options. People today travel with lots of devices, and plugs in the room were limited.
The location is great (close to Merode Metro, the park, restaurants); very convenient. The WiFi was strong and reliable. The room was comfortable.
