To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustriaBut I feel cheated with the - still in place since covid - policy to open the sauna only during breakfast hours from 7 to 10am or you will have to pay EUR 95,- for 2 hours. I love to have a sauna after a long cold and rainy day. This is the reason why will try first time the Novotel (just over the bridge) next time. If you do not like sauna, pool or jacuzzi (or like to skip breakfast for morning wellness), you should definitely try out this hotel.
So far I always stayed in Vé when I came to Mechelen. I love the flair of the hotel and its location in the middle of the center.

Fabulous large bedroom. Good choices for breakfast and ability to have freshly cooked eggs to your liking. Central location and parking garage just 2 minute walk from hotel.

The Decor in the hotel was really nice. Breakfast was superb. So much choice and no pressure to free tables up so leisurely breakfast could be taken
