It was okay, more of a stopping over place than somewhere I'd stay if I was in Recife for a few days. Thete are some hostels that you stay at and you're not surprised when someone switches the light on at 5am and starts packing their gear. This was one of those places.

Breakfast isn't included but they do lay on coffee, crackers and jam in the morning. It's close to a large supermarket. Large under bed lockers.

The mattress was to soft so if you are on the heavier side then you will feel the bedframe.

The staff was super nice and friendly. And the hostel is beautiful! A very calm space that is both private and quiet but still is close to all you need like the supermarket, beaches, restaurants and more.

I didn’t like the bed. It was very short and felt unstable.

Location is good, only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Area seemed safe.

The room was a bit small and the beds were a bit uncomfortable , it also got a bit noisy at night sometimes.

The hostel was private and secure behind gates. We had a private room which was perfect and had a private bathroom too.

Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable and the hot shower wasn't working. We got a private room with 3 beds and a private bathroom.

The staff was amazing with us, very kind. The place looks very cozy and nice, with a good infrastructure for a budget trip. The place has a good value for money.

clean, quiet, well organised, nice people, staff super friendly and helpful, well located! Just few min walk from the amazing Pina Beach, supermarket, pharmacy, clubs and restaurants, bus stop to Recife Antigo. Arthur the guy at the check in gave me all the detailed information to get a perfect staying. Michel also from the reception was super friendly and willing to help with anything I needed, always smiling and respectful. Adriana was super kind and gentle, usually hung up with her in the morning organised us coffee and an unbelievable homemade jam w crackers which was totally an unexpected surprise. Of course all other people from the staff where as much good! it was a same for me to have different plans already scheduled otherwise I’d stayed at Cosmopolitan Hostel wide longer. Definitely recommend!!

Plenty of beds per area in 2 of the 3 shared rooms. Clogged toilets, clogged sinks and beds with drawers that made a huge noise when opened. They could remove some beds and charge higher daily rates, as they are in a very popular neighborhood in the city, and thus offer a little more comfort to guests. In the future, if it undergoes renovation, the place will look great, but for now, I wouldn't go back.

The owner and one of the employees I had contact with were very attentive. The place has a full kitchen with all the utensils for you to prepare your meals.

the place looks a little run down. Especially the bathrooms and the kitchen look very old and not very welcoming. Breakfast is just some coffee, tea and some biscuits. The rooms are very simple and unpersonalised. The living room / common area looks a little like a flea market garage.

Very sweet guy at the reception with great English when I arrived. Nice little pool with some plants. I loved the board with suggestions what to do on each day of the week, not sure if they where up to date. I loved the cold water dispenser.

It’s dirty and very old everything. No one went close to the pool. The toilets are not flushing well, so maybe you get a surprise from an another guest there. You are a bit far from everything. Not the center and boa viagem the good area is more south.

ONLY 3 TOILETS FOR 40 PEOPLE THAT WERE FILLED WITH HUMAN WASTE THAT HAD TO BE FLUSHED WITH BUCKETS OF WATER WHEN THE WATER WAS RUNNING.

THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. THE FELLOW GUESTS WERE GREAT.

FIRST TIME IN 5 YEARS IN MANY DIFFERENT COUNTRIES THAT I FELT LIKE I WAS LIVING IN THE 3rd WORLD !!!!! Some hostels are professional and so good across South America but this is money driven, please don’t stop reading !!! I paid for a 6 bed but was in an 8 bed similar to a bathroom size, each bed is touching with no space at all in the middle !!! When he opened to door I really thought he was joking,,, I was so angry !!! I paid another 75 realis for a private room where the Wi-Fi doesn’t work unless I put my phone by the door no where near the bed. The road has many dangerous crack heads which seem so different to many in Brazil, I am very street wise and these after telling them NO, they look like they want to rob me, I am far from stupid and can see these things 🙏🙏🙏. The manager was helpful at the start but then it moved on to tours, MORE MONEY FOR THEM. I will post videos on my Instagram Jamesmembury… please see before coming !!!! THE WORST ROOM I HAVE SEEN IN 80 hostels and my life …… this hostel wants £££££&$$$$$$$$$€€€€€€€ ….. PLEASE IF THIS MESSAGE CAN HELP 1 PERSON …. FIND A BETTER HOSTEL … have a great time in this fantastic country and stay away from money grabbing hostels, the name convinced me but there is absolutely nothing cosmopolitan about this hostel !!!!!! I feel bad writing this and never leave bad reviews but these guys deserve this for thinking people are like pigs

First of all, the bunk beds were really unstable and noisy. The mattresses were also very thin and old, mine was especially dirty beneath the sheets. The room was so small and packed with bunk beds. The hostel in general really loud and it’s especially bad because the walls are so thin. The bathroom nearly fell apart on one toilet there wasn’t even a toilet seat! For such a big hostel also only 2 bathrooms?! Bad stay, wouldn’t recommend!

Great for a short stay at least, stayed one night before flying away. It's 15min by car to the airport so really convenient. Super friendly staff and volunteers. Excellent value for money, the private room was spacious and good shower and so on. Free filtered drinking water! The area felt safe and there was a big super market just some 2min walk away.

Mosquitoes /muriçocas everywhere. After 6pm when it gets dark there is *literally* no place outside of the bedroom that doesn’t have mosquitoes as it’s open everywhere. They even get into the bathroom. Try have a phone convo or just relax in any common area and you’re gonna get bitten A LOT. Rooms and common room was very dark and uninviting. Staff were lovely though.
