Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe bathroom is very small. The condition of the hotel is somewhat overused and is overdue for a makeover. The wet bar has room for a microwave but there isn't one. The finishes are worn out with older tile and paneling. Some mould/mold in the bathroom. The lobby and reception area was stark and it looks like they ran out of money to furnish and appoint it well. That said, the good bones are all there and this place is ripe for a re-do into a corporate affiliated place. It is in a nice district but not really walking distance to a vibrant neighborhood with shops and restaurants.
The breakfast was fine. It was a self serve buffet style with fruit, yogurt, sausage, ham, breads, toaster and panini press. Also two juices but not orange. The location was decent. It was 6 blocks uphill to Av. Paulista. There was a smaller but good shopping center (Shopping Pamplona) about 3 blocks away. The rooms are really suites and are large. There is a frigo bar that I stored my own food in. It was quiet and the A/C worked well. The exterior photo shows the hotel with the orange brick facade.

SerbiaThe fact that the staff was quite rude only because we were foreigners (this is not my first time in Hampton Park, I’ve been coming since 2017.), didn’t understand a word of English, which for the city such as Sao Paulo is unacceptable and shocking - even though I do understand that there are specific cultural differences between BR and the rest of the world hospitality in BR should stop acting as if Brazil is a different planet. I was especially irritated by the manager’s (Gilherme’s) blunt “Nao falo Inglés.” on the checkin, even though he was helpful later and did his best to check in the group as fast as possible. And he did spoke some English. His colleague (the receptionist who originally was at the desk) was on the other hand completely uninterested in helping, giving me a very rude attitude, explaining some nonsenses such as that she has to check if our reservation was for the rooms - I literally showed her the reservation from booking and she was waiving her head at me as if she never heard of the existence of booking.com earlier… It is just horrible to see how poorly managed are the Brazilian 3-4* hotels - in most of the cases you’ll find incompetent people who speak online Portuguese and who are treating foreign visitors completely xenophobic. And we are a group of 9 people which have chosen to give our money to them… just unbelievable.
