Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room 19 has the Maintenance Room behind. I have no idea who was still working in there at 10:30 p.m. We were trying to sleep. Finally, we communicated this to the front desk. Please don´t rent a room if someone works on the other side. Breakfast was great. Just a little recommendation for the waiters and waitresses, please clean the table thoroughly once you have picked it up, so the next person having breakfast doesn´t have to do it (Clean the table tops).
Cleanliness is key. When we got there, the room smelled CLEAN. We loved it! Breakfast was GREAT!

The reality did not meet the expectations shown in the room photos. The rooms need some maintenance, with old furniture and broken parts in the bathroom. The room is rather small. The wifi did not work well. Compared to other places, the value for money was low.
The location of the hotel is near the beach and a few minutes walk to the natural pools. The pool is a reasonable size for the hotel and is not crowded. The pool area is nice. The breakfast is good, with several food options. Nothing fancy, but good. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood.

The best place I have stayed in Porto de Galinhas. Just beautiful, great food,great people and everything so clean and very close to the beach.

Our room had a couple of issues. At first there was no electricity as they were fixing something. The toilet seat was broken and had to be replaced and then there was no hot water because they were fixing something else. If everything was working it would have been a fine room.
Hotel breakfast was excellent, location was a two minute walk to the beach and they had a nice pool with a bar.

Pool is rather small.
Peaceful hotel, friendly staff, beautiful garden with small pool. It is around 10 minutes walk to the main road and only one block to the beach. We actually preferred the beach close to the hotel as it is not so busy as the beach located near the main road.

The hotel is very run down and dirty. Our first room was not clean at all and we had to wash our feet to get into bed if we got out of bed for any reason. The balcony door would not close properly and let mosquitos would get in very easily. Room number two smelled like mold and mildew and the air conditioner would not cool the room. The shower had no hot water and the hotel staff refused to look into the shower issues. Ultimately we felt like the hotel ownership or management is aware of the problems there but do nothing it as all the issues are controllable - cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Overall the staff was very nice except for an extremely unhappy breakfast attendant who patrolled the breakfast area with a scowl and terrible attitude and couldn't put down her cell phone to keep up with requests from guests. However, the rest of the staff was very nice. The location is great - very close to the beach.

Extremely disappointing given that we paid around 120EUR/2 nights (similar to European capitals prices), the room was incredibly small (we only had one suitcase and still found it difficult to place it), the room was very worn out, sheets with small stains on them, just a bit of hot water that we used after the beach and when we tried to shower after going out there was no more hot water, the fridge was disgusting and dirty and there was a lot(!!) of water leaking from it - and it was placed near the bed, the sink was in the room next to the bed, separated from the rest of the toilet, a bit worn out toilet and toilet seat, no shower gel, the pool was nice but the water had a bad smell, either of stale water, dead leaves or even faeces (still no idea what), rather decent breakfast but nothing too extraordinary, shabby wi-fi in the room.
centrally located in Porto de Galinhas, literally steps away from the beach (1 min walking distance) and close to the public transportation, very nice courtyard- with palm trees, a swimming pool with shower and some nice cats laying around, decent breakfast but nothing too extraordinary
