Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI just wish that it were closer for me, in terms of travel.
It offered everything that I want from a vacation; beach and pools, restaurant and bar, spa, beach walk to town,, good accommodations that were easily accessible, plus, a very friendly and helpful staff.

CanadaThe beach doesn’t have a sea wall which is great. However, the Sargassum which unavoidable was a lot. But the staff worked hard to remove it every day.
This is a really nice property and a good location on the island of San Pedro. Only a 10-15 minute walk along the beach to main area of town The staff were excellent accommodating and very friendly. The rooms were very clean. The beds were a little old however, it was still comfortable. The food at the restaurant was really good and a really good price as well.

United KingdomIt is a bit dated, but still represents excellent value.
Excellent value. Close to the airport. £7 Uber to the airport £5 down town. If you are dropping of a hire car it is good because it has gated parking. In a locals area. Local shops and restaurant are 500m down the road. Gates are manned 24/7 and they let you in and out. Obviously do not stay here if you are not going to the airport!

United States of AmericaUnfortunately the restaurant was out of many menu items.
Very friendly staff at both the office, the restaurant and especially Michael who seemed to be a Jack of all trades. We met him keeping up the parking lot but also saw him working on the pool and maintaining golf carts. He was very friendly and helpful. We decided to extend our stay and the staff was very accommodating. Simple beachfront property. Pools aren’t great, but you’re on the beach!

United States of AmericaBeds were old and uncomfortable. The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything. The pictures show the suites there are only half a dozen of those. The main hotel is like a motel with balconies. No elevator and four floors. The spa is an experience itself. Location is fabulous services are not top tier.
A nice experience at the hotel in Belize! The staff, location, beach, and grounds were all marvelous, contributing to a truly wonderful stay. Highly recommended for a fantastic getaway!

This is a great location on an actual beach. Many other hotels don't have beach access. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was good.

United KingdomMinor but relevant, there was a little noisy work going on in the room next door, a small chat with management and all was made good, no further issues and had an excellent stay overall. Would definitely stay again.

United KingdomLet’s just say my mattress had seen better days (and a little too much action?!). Speaking of which, the soundproofing could be better.
Big shoutout to Leroy, Monica, Daniel (ask him for a fresh lime soda), Nigel, Jamilla, Jerry, and the rest of the crew whose names I didn’t get. Loved the coffee machine in my room. Loved the easy access to trips and tours - thanks again Leroy. Loved the location- it’s just on the edge of the San Pedro mayhem. Loved my little balcony and the feeling that I was literally on a beach. Loved the food - I recommend The Belizean off the dinner menu.

GuatemalaThe hotel was not prepared for the amount of groups it had booked, what I mean is, after a big group, they had no food or drinking water, left so half of the food choices on the menu where unavailable and you couldn't refill water bottles with purified water. There was no house keeping, and the only day that they did clean, they put a stained sheet on our bed, which we asked for king and they just put two singles together and installed king sheets on them 🤔. The water of the toilet stank more than the actual number 2 it tried to flush.
I liked that the facilities felt like Old San Pedro, not that fancy, more wood than concrete. The shower was hot and good water pressure.

GermanyThe bed is hard. The rooms are easy, nothing special. Everything seems a very old. Pool area and billiard definitely need a make over.
The staff is so so so nice and sweet, which was great. We even got a free drink due to some construction work and noise. The banana bread for breakfast is a must-try!!! Also they mango daiquiries! Beach is beautiful! Right at the sea.

United States of AmericaI have no complaints...none at all
Nigel was soooo great in helping my daughter and I navigate the island. Mr. LeRoi was my favorite excursions guy...if you want to schedule any extra activities...he's the man to ask. Also I'll like to send a special appreciation to Tropical Cart Rentals for being so gracious when I had a slight golf problem and they were there and resolved it immediately. All in all I loved my trip and plan to return real soon 🥰

United States of AmericaThe sorghum was so bad that I wouldn’t go in the ocean. Such a disappointment. Very basic accommodations The walls were a bit thin and I could hear the guests above me every night. Would have preferred bottled water instead of filling up used bottles.. The pool were small with kids in both . Would be nice if there was an adults only.
Location was right on the beach. Food was just OK. AC was great. Banana bread was on the menu but they said they couldn’t find bananas to make it. Very friendly staff. Massage by the ocean was amazing.

CanadaConsidering the comparatively low price of course we weren't expecting a high end hotel. There are some parts of the property that are a bit worn. I wish there was a comfortable place to sit inside our room but we did only have the basic room. This wouldn't be a problem if you booked into a villa which all looked really nice.
We loved our stay! It's modest and not flashy but was perfect for the low key stay we were looking for. The location is outside downtown which we preferred - a golf cart came in handy to explore. It's walking distance to multiple food options and was a 5 minute walk from the Belize Pro Dive center that we were using. The staff were all really great and accommodating- even decorating our room for our anniversary! The beach and views are beautiful and it was nice to cool off in the pool in the afternoon. Special shout out to Nigel at the front desk for always being ready to help, to Glen and the other bar staff for great service, and to the manager Beth who made sure to check in with guests.

United KingdomLocation is south San Pedro so almost impossible to walk to the main bit of town, you need a golf buggy. There are a few nearby shops and restaurants you can walk to however.
Lovely layout with both pool and beach and lots of sun beds. Convenient beach bar serving food and drinks. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I wanted to treat myself to 2 nights in a hotel while backpacking and not leave the hotel for that full day so this was perfect.
