Although I had a private room I found it very expensive for a backpackers, baring in mind it was very noisy all the time (they do have 'quiet hours' but these were not adhered to). I was staying right over the kitchen so it was extra noisy. Minor note -they need new mugs/cups -I wanted to make a fruit tea but they only had stained plastic coffee cups which were minging.

Good location and lovely room. Nice guy on reception kindly lent me aloe vera when I got over done in the sun! Liked the quirky arty style of the place and it had decent kitchen facilities and they recycle. Good central areas to hangout and the shared showers and toilets were well looked after.

Nothing ! Rooms are a bit small but it didn’t matter to us. Also the only place we seen where you have to pay to refill your bottle but I guess it’s because the water is drinkable in the hostel.

We only slept one night but we liked the vibe of the place which is really relaxed, ideally located in the center of Hopkins and 100m from the beach. You can use the kitchen, bathroom and toilets are clean and the bed was comfy.

None of the hostel's fault - the weather was tough for me, more or less constant rain, which makes solar showers a cold experience (but you're still in the Caribic, so, you know... ). Other than that, all good.

The dorm is small but sufficient, large locker drawers that easily fit all of my stuff. You get curtains on your bed for extra privacy, and power outlets and reading lamps and a little shelf to create your own cozy corner. The place is right off the main drag, and super close to the beach (as is everything in Hopkins). Very beautiful outside area, which includes the kitchen, and the staff is super nice and helpful. Recycling system set up gets extra points - the place is up for sale, if I had the cash, I'd buy it!

This is not a complaint just giving helpful information for future visitors. Cash is king here - not for the hostel - but everywhere else - and the atm didn't have any money in the 3 nights I stayed, so have a back up plan. There was not a huge variety of foods like fruits and veg at the supermarket, and check sell by dates, Some of the restaurants were closed as it was Oct and out of season. I wanted to snorkel but nothing avail out of season that I could find. I had a really nice stay here though and would totally recommend coming.

This was a great stop. Hopkins is a lovely spot, and it was quiet and traveller lite when I was there. The people who ran it were helpful and nice. Others guests were sociable. You could use the kitchen.It was clean and well equipped. My room/bed was very comfortable with a nice effective fan. Lovely beach a short walk away, sandy underfoot and like walking into a bath. Supermarkets,restaurants bus stop, veg and fruit shops, short walk away. I had a lovely meal at the Smokey Grill restaurant on the corner. Maybe even best meal of the trip so far.

They didn't know how to inform me clearly about the hike options. Should be great that staff will know about the top attraction to inform the guests.

- clean and quiet private room with 2 fans which was easily enough - great shared bathrooms with solar heated hot water - good kitchen facilities - cheap drinking water (or you can use the tap water, which is safe) - close to supermarkets and the main bus stop out of Hopkins (be aware that busses only come a couple of times a day!)

Not very social, despite a really nice communal area and lots of people being there. The double room we had was not very private at all (the kids next door could see in) and it was really small. The toilets were relatively clean, but we have stayed in cleaner hostels on our trips

Great little hostel located close to the beach and restaurants. Nice shared shaded spaces to hangout in the heat of the day. Good bathroom and showers, as well as a great little kitchen to use. Owners and staff were always at hand and keeping the place clean. Fans we’re available for the dorms

The place is a bit rundown and could use some renovation. Although it wasn't a problem for me. There's only 1 stove with place for 2 pans so around dinnertime it's busy and you probably need to wait before you can cook.

Friendly and helpful owners who were very responsive when I mailed them. Information at the hostel of what to do in the area (hikes and waterfalls etc) and info about transportation to other places. Nice atmosphere. Cute little garden with hammocks. Almost right next to the busstop and ATM. Beds with curtains and small bedlights. (I liked it that they don't have a big light) Big storage drawers under the bed where you can leave and lock your big backpack. Communal kitchen with fridge and stove. Cheap bike rental by the hour. Beach nearby. Supermarket across the street.

The owners are not very friendly. The guy is a bit rude and not helpfull. The bin in the toilet for the toiletpaper is always full. Too busy in the kitchen.
