Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNothing against the staff, as the lady at the desk did her job and was willing to help, but this was an emergency stay for me and the fact that, when I booked this online, I decided to opt for the 'pay at check in' option, instead of the pay now, I was required to pay a $200 cash damage deposit, upon personally checking in. The reason given for this was because I only had a debit card at hand and i was told that their machine did not allow a debit card to be used as a form of pay for a deposit. As stated, this was an emergency stay and due to circumstances I did not have any credit card or form of ID on me, which made it very difficult to obtain a room. It should be a standard that debit cards are accepted as all forms of pay at any hotel, since it is directly withdrawn from one's account. The fact that it was already late, I did not have the financial means to stay at a pricey hotel for just a bed to sleep in, and that there were very few options for something reasonable, caused some major anxiety and stress, which I really did not need on top of the circumstances.
The lady at the front desk was courteous and willing to help, and was, after some checking, able to provide a room.

The room was neat and clean. The customer service was very good. When I asked for a stove and some extra cloth hangers, the staff provided them without any hesitation. Good value for the money we pay.

MexicoThe duvet for the bed were a bit old and firmer pillows would be better. Also we would suggest to have a small coffee maker in maker in the room and a rubber mat inside the room so when you enter room with snowy shoes you can take them off and place them in there, that floor gets very slippery when wet.
The space of the room was very nice, we also liked the fact the electric kettle, and microwave. The TV package in our room # 201 was great, we could watch nexflix movies that night of our stay.

Canadaroom was a bit outdated; the bed wasnt the most comfy. the room smelled like bleach (not a bad a thing for cleanliness), but the smell can be nauseating/headache inducing for some. id suggest airing out the room for awhile after cleaning.
close to the falls, seems like a quieter part of town, and reasonably priced.

CanadaThey charge an extra $10 for night parking. So it is better to get a good deal with other hotels compared to motel. Eg. If u paying 54 +10= 64 , put $6 more and book with a nice hotel. Next time, I will book wirh hotel compared to the motel that charges u extra, just like hidden costs.
The reception girl was an amazing person.

CanadaNo complaints.
Basic drive-up motel, but, clean, safe, great location and great value at a time of year when the chain hotels can still command high prices. Owners really care and put in the effort. Great for a night or two.

United KingdomA bit too jaded externally, but this in not an expensive place to stay (and the whole idea is to be out and about on holiday). Internally, the rooms are clean but the little things could do with some TLC. Either net curtains / blinds or decent tinted windows would help so you can draw back the main curtains and keep a sense of privacy. Do not expect a wonderful view from outside. The second receptionist unhelpful.
Suman - one of the receptionists - was very helpful, even down to little things like a plate, cutlery and general advice for a first time visitor to Niagara Falls. A clean - if dated - room. The bed was a bit soft but surprisingly comfortable. Clean bedding. The shower ran hot. 2 towels + facecloth per person. The microwave a bonus for making hot drinks. Generally a friendly atmosphere. Basic table and 2 chairs to sit outside each room and have a smoke and a chat with other visitors. Turn right on exit 600 metres to the WEGO Blue Line bus and eateries. Turn left on exit and a small supermarket also about 600 metres away for basic supplies. They looked after my luggage on check-out day allowing me freedom to wander about until my bus on the evening. Overall good for the price.

CanadaIt is what it is , budget motel , moderate amenities , minimal but routine maintenance, tidy , could use a fresh paint job, new curtains otherwise adequate , linens ( sheets towels, pillows , clean pleasant scent , complimentary soap shampoo nice. Staff easy to get along with, friendly attitude, kept my luggage for me after 11am check out, awaiting my next travel connection afternoon. I was able to relax, enjoy leisurely lunch in the park, return to motel everything fine .
Although The Ritz is a small motel it is situated within walking distance to major hotels tourist destinations natural wonders of falls . Balcony on second floor nice little table and chairs for each room guests enjoy view hotels from a different perspective . I took many photos and walked through Falls View Galleria discovering new places to explore nature along the way .
