Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Ants in the bathroom, lack of a desk with a task chair on wheels, lack of a table to have a bite to eat, or a cup of tea, hot water in shower would intermittently scald me. It would be nice to have access to a vending machine with snacks other than drinks.
Location, rubber duck, pet friendly, beds were comfortable.

Construction right next door. Bathroom is very small.

Room was very clean. Staff were friendly. Location was great for us: 2 km to downtown area and 3 km to hospital (reason for stay). Lots of restaurants in area and a mall across the street that had a grocery store. Also a convenience store on same block. Parking lot was big and contained a Ricky's Restaurant and a Starbucks. Guests of the hotel get a 10% discount at Ricky's. You can walk or drive to the downtown area easily down Bernard Avenue and see many heritage houses.

The TV turned on at a random time by itself even at the middle of the night. Once at 2:16am, the other time was at 3:35am. This is very usually.....

Unfortunately, there was construction near the back of the building that started early in the morning. If I were staying another night, I would have asked to stay in the front side of the hotel and I'm sure the staff would have made this happen.
The staff are always super friendly. The room is very clean. Great location near food and shopping. Lots of parking. I asked for an early check in and they made this happen which was greatly appreciated!

Rickie's Restaurant has an extremely limited menu, at least for breakfast and no Senior's selections.
Consistantly good value, being staying at this property for over 30 years.

Location is a bit far from main strip/waterfront, but was a quick drive/uber.
Very comfortable bed, the ducks were a whimsical surprise, and it was clean.

The room set up is very odd. In our room , the bed is located directly at the front of room, right next to entry/door. Their is also a window right next to bed with people walking by (its a motel) which makes it feel a little less private. And the love seat and table are further into the room, in the more private area. Not sure why the room isn't set up in reverse, with the bed near back of room with more quiet and privacy?
Room was spacious and clean. Property is a little older, but appears to be well maintained. Ample parking, and outdoor pool (we didn't use it but looked clean and well maintained)

Construction starts early in the morning before 8 am.( otherwise was nice and quiet) If you are senior or health issues ask for ground floor
The bed was so comfortable, the room clean. Ricki restaurant close and guest laundry. Check in by Emily was smooth and pleasant

The kitchenette could barely be called that. 2 burner stove, small microwave and a bar fridge but no table to sit at. OK for simple meals like cereal and toast but that's about it.
This property is located quite centrally in Kelowna and conveniently has a grocery store across the road and shares a parking lot with Starbucks. Our room was clean and tidy on arrival and check in was very efficient. The aircon worked fine against the 36C heat and wasn't too noisy. The bed was just right for comfort. We were on the back of the property which was quiet.
