Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaOur room faced the wind Whistler or something like that… at night the parties were till 2-3 am … so many people outside … makes sense why on our night stand we had ear plugs. I would stay again just not on that side. I would confirm the quiet side.

Close to gondola for both Whistler and Blackcomb. And excellent coffee in the room. Freshly roasted.

CanadaWe asked for an extra cot; we got a crib. When I asked about the cot, I was told, "Oh, in Australia we call a crib a cot." Go figure.

ColombiaThe freezer in my room was broken, and the floor was full of water. Even though Luis went there to fix it, the issue continued during the night.
Asara hotel has a friendly staff and great location. Just ten minutes to the Whistler gondola and ski area. We had an issue in our room and Luis “Lucho” :), helped us to solve it. He was very kind to us, it was so nice to meet him. Also, the hot chocolate in the front was so convenient to get warm in the morning.

SpainWas not worth the price. The shower had no pressure and water trickled out, making it feel cold. When we mentioned it at reception, we were told not to worry and that all the rooms were like that… The carpet was also quite dirty, there was mouldy food left in the fridge, and it was quite noisy at night from the bar/club outside our window. The heating also wasn’t great. In general, if I’d paid less, it wouldn’t be a problem, but for $500 per night, it was not good enough!
Great location and very friendly staff. Room was big and with a great view!

AustraliaThe housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Floors weren't vacuumed once in a five night stay (being winter, we were wearing snow boots too). On Christmas Day, we had been out all day to return to the room at 4.30pm, not even touched. Just before 5 p.m., they knocked on the door to ask if they were able to clean our room. We were in the process of getting ready for Christmas dinner. We came back after three hours, with the room not done and a big bag of rubbish at our door. Mind you, the rubbush bag wasn't even ours. It nearly ruined our stay, but Gabby at the service desk handled the situation very quickly and professionally!
The staff in the lobby were super friendly. Gabby was excellent after an issue with house keeping. The outdoor spa area was nice, but missed the fireplace.

United Arab EmiratesThe room was only made up once properly in the week we were there and we had to ask for basics to be topped up/replaced such as shampoo, toilet paper. We emptied our own bins. Dogs are allowed at the hotel which meant we heard quite a lot of barking and the lift was covered in dog hair and was not cleaned for several days. There was a kitchen area in the room with microwave and fridge but no china or sink so hard to actually make use of it. We had to buy paper plates, plastic bowls etc and wash up in bathroom sink which is not ideal.
Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Additional extras of warm cookies when arriving back from the slopes and hot drinks were a nice touch as was the PlayStation in the room for the children.

CanadaWhen they came to clean my room. They made my bed and emptied the garbage. Didn't empty coffee grinds from bodem, didn't vacuum , or straighten up the hand towel or bath mat. The outside light leading to the pool and hottub was out and was so dark. There were no towels, I had to go down and ask Gabby, then there was no bin for used towels and guests were just throwing them on the floor near the water fountain outside the bathroom and they stayed there for awhile
Gabby at the front was very helpful and friendly. The location after finding the hotel was in a good location. Staff were really great at replying to my messages. The bed and fireplace were comfy. The coffee was delicious. Little milks or creamers in the fridge would have been better than coffee-mate, but at least that was there
