Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe staff was exceptional. Our room had a wonderful tub for my wife and we are glad we updated the room. We loved breakfast and dinner.
The hotel furnishings were a little retro but the staff were not. Each and every member were most helpful to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Dinner and breakfast at the two restnaurantswere great. We are grateful and would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for making sure my wife birthday was memorable and she enjoyed the wine in the room.

CanadaLoved it all! I went to Gaspar (the adjoining restaurant) one evening because front desk told me that I could buy a tea there. When I got my tea, they realized I was staying at the hotel and he didn't charge me. He even through in a full bottle of San Pellegrino water!
We stayed in room 211. It was a beatiful room that faced the river. There was plenty of space, although the other two times that I stayed at this hotel, my rooms were much bigger.

United States of AmericaAuberge du Vieux Port is not inexpensive, especially in summer, as its room rates reflect the fact that it's in a hot "tourist area" part of the city. It's also a fairly long way from the business district, upscale shopping, and array of international restaurants located in other parts of the city, so not a good choice if you hoped to avoid having a car or using Uber etc.
I loved the super-comfy bed (though it was so cozy and all-encompassing, I found it difficult to get UP!) The staff, from the front desk associate to the bartender to the parking valet, were all exceedingly polite and warm. The bathrooms are luxurious and everything smells good: I'm a huge fan of Le Labo products, and finding that my bathroom had been stocked with their soaps and lotions was a nice little plus. Augerge du Vieux Port is a unique boutique hotel--it's an ancient stone building in the historic part of Montréal (Vieux Montréal). The streets are cobblestone, the walls are unfinished brick, the floors are uneven, the elevator is tiny, and the *cool factor* is off-the-charts. Definitely have a cocktail in the rooftop lounge when it opens in late spring, as the 360º view of the Port, Ferris wheel, and waterway is simply A+.

United States of AmericaThe hotel was charming and cozy. I loved the smell every time I walked into the lobby. It was our private getaway from the foreign streets of Montreal. The restaurant in the building was where we ate our first night. Our waitress, Mary, was sweet and recommended another restaurant around the corner for us to try during our stay in the city.

United States of AmericaYou can hear television and voices from adjacent room.
Beautiful and cozy property! Welcoming staff eager to provide a helping hand (or cup of tea). Bottle of wine and cookies left in our room. Tasty breakfast from the hotel restaurant at ground level and a fantastic coffee house (Olympico) a two min walk away. Lobby provided tea, coffee and cookies each afternoon. Many other attractions and restaurants within walking distance (Olive and Gourmand for morning treats, Cafe Stash for cozy Polish food and pianist, Bota Bota spa and many museums).

United States of AmericaThe rooms are beautiful, but our favorite part of staying here was spending time in the lobby! It's the perfect place to get cozy by the fireplace and read your book with a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or delicious cocktail from the bar. We can't wait to come stay again! Also, the staff was so friendly and accomdating!

United KingdomNo kettle in the room for tea making facilities I did ask on first night but I think in translation what we asked for was lost as we got to tea pots of hot water not a kettle. There was a nespresso coffee machine which we managed to use to make tepid tea with a funny taste to it
Location was excellent very nice room although I was expecting something a little bigger for the price. It was long and narrow room but still a lovely room. Great bathroom excellent shower and bath. Staff were extremely helpful and always smiling and happy to help.
