Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

bathroom (fixed shower head, thin water stream so you need more water to rinse off)
very nice staff who gave us excellent tips for dinner venues, good location in the main street, comfortable bedroom, very clean property, good breakfast (apart from the croissants, which felt industrial vs. bakery made) Also, the wifi was secure, which is very rare in hotel, so a nice cherry on the sundae!

Probably a less noisy ac, but it didn’t matter much.
Room was spacious and silent, bed sheets were great, the shower was big. Overall great location In the middle of old Bromont. Breakfast was great too.

Felt a little damp on the cement floor. A couple of lights lamps would help with brighter for reading.
Separate sitting area from the bedroom. Large bathroom shower area. The backyard hot tub access. Space, staff, breakfast choices, breakfast room were very adequate.

As I am not fluent in French, I would have appreciated being served in English. It’s a minor complaint given the fact we were received with courtesy and warmth.
Nice selection of food and beverages, attractively presented. Being able to eat outside by the pond was lovely.

Booked 2 rooms. Didn't expect to have a room in the basement. Section of the ceiling was not high enough for my partner who is 6'3.
Beautiful renovation. The place has a great ambiance. Terrace is beautiful for the breakfast. Close to nice street with restaurants, stores and boutiques.

I would have liked a coffee/tea maker in-room instead of having to walk down to the common kitchen to serve myself. The continental breakfast was a little too small but tasty. Be aware that Vieux Bromont is a small town, so if you arrive late at night or mid-week in the off-season, many restaurants will be closed.
The Auberge is a charming historical building in Vieux Bromont. There are many good restaurants, cute shops and walking trails nearby. The room was well appointed in a tasteful modern design with a very comfortable bed, strong WiFi and smart TV with Netflix, etc. The bilingual staff was very welcoming and graciously tolerated my weak French. There is an inviting hot tub and sauna outside that looks onto the property's private back yard. I would stay here again.

I wish they would have told us in advance that boots had to be removed at the entrance. We would have brought shoes or slippers to wear inside.

Because of CoVid restrictions, the included breakfast was a prepared cold plate of yogurt, fruit, croissant. Also included in the prepaid price was a daily $30 CAD service charge, which came as a surprise when I reviewed the bill.
Lovely century old building, with beautiful gardens to sit in and enjoy the babbling decorative pool.

The breakfast was small and nothing special. I wish there was a coffee machine, kettle and mugs in the rooms.

This was advertised as having a hot tub and a sauna, which was a big part of why we booked it. Those facilities seemed closed for the season (the sauna seemed to be filled with patio furniture).

The hotel told me the room rate was much cheaper through them than through Booking.com. So I overpaid with Booking.com. There was no one in the reception at checkout to return the keys, and it was 10am.

The bathroom was very basic for the cost for a night, and the breakfast was very very basic (muffin, a piece of cheese, and a half a cup of fruit salad - and already placed on a plate - so you could not have a bit more). The website said that we guests would have the use of the ho-tub/spa and sauna (the sauna was not working). The fireplace, was just lights turning around behind a glass and was not heating the room.
The location was great! The bed was confortable, and the room was very clean. The bathroom was very basic for the cost for a night, and the breakfast was very very basic (muffin, a piece of cheese, and a half a cup of fruit salad - and already placed on a plate - so you could not have a bit more).
