Room was quite dark. The terrace area we had with our room was dark and did not catch the sun at all (and it was very sunny during our stay). No charging points in room anywhere near bed (I tend to charge my phone my bed at night). Limited number of charging points elsewhere in room. This hotel (which I did know prior to booking) is not on the ski bus route. You must get the connecting local bus from the hotel down into town.

Lovely outdoor hot tub, perfect for after skiing. Comfortable and stylish lounge in main lodge. Loved the fireplace in the room. Mule deer strolling between hotel buildings in the morning. Very close to regular/local bus into town which drops at the skibus stop. Good free/strong hotel WiFi.

Only thing I wish they had was a mini fridge - our room didn’t which was strange but I assume was normal for Banff. Ice in a bucket sufficed however!

Such friendly staff, and a very cozy room. The fire was the main appeal and the pillows were so comfy! It was nice to be just out of town and yet so close either by bus, car or feet! The hot tub was huge which was a nice change for a ski resort.

The room was a bit dark. House keeping can improve. Our sheets were changed after the 6th night. Toilet was not cleaned during our stay.

The views from hotel were great. We had deer come by the property in the afternoon. The restaurant on site The Prow has great food. And room service was fast. Great water pressure and hot water. The heated floors worked great.

I think the staff in the reception could do better with the service, especially the girl who received us when we checked in. She wasn't rude or anything, it's just that she could've been more helpful, accommodating and pleasant overall. Although, the staff who assisted us during our check out was amazing and really helpful. Additionally, the bathroom was already old and obviously not much maintained. Shower wasn't working great but still usable though.

The property is lovely during winter season as the area has a lot of pine trees and it just makes the place magical. The rooms were spacious as well including the bath. They also have a common outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi which you can enjoy until late evening (11 pm). One of the staff helped us to set the fireplace and heating inside and was really accommodating. I would like to commend him as he was very detailed and helpful to us but I wasn't able to get his name. Hence, my favourite part of the property was the fireplace inside the rooms which completes the ambience of a cabin/wood lodge vibes accommodation.

The short walk to the shuttle to go skiing is slightly misleading, it’s a 2km walk, which is not great when carrying all the ski-ing equipment! The hot tub looks lovely but we didn’t go in the end as it was busy and full of children every time we tried

Beautiful rooms with nice balcony, the fireplace is the real selling point. The restaurant is lovely with great food! Lovely set up!

Room description stated it was newly renovated. It was quite rundown for being “newly renovated” - shower leaked around door so had clearly led to issues with bathroom tiles lifting and grout between tiles being missing. Also a strong mildew smell in the bathroom, likely from the amount of water leaking around shower door. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired, both in the bathroom and bedroom. Floors were quite dirty throughout the unit. Description also states that it was a kitchenette - this is quite a stretch, a two burner hot plate, mini fridge and microwave were all that was provided. Good thing we brought our own electric cooler to provide additional fridge space for the food we brought to cook.

Comfortable bed. Staff were all very friendly and very helpful

We were disappointed that the rooms have been renovated to be more modern and not rustic cabin-like as they previously were. When you escape to the mountains, that's what you like to feel. We thought the renovation would have kept that same rustic decor. This is what made Buffalo Mountain Lodge special and unique to most accommodations in Banff

We always love going to Buffalo Mountain Lodge!

The heat in the room seemed very slow to respond when the thermostat was turned down or up; we were overly warm the first night until we realized this. The bathroom could have been a bit more thoroughly cleaned (there was hair in the tub). Though the food and service in the restaurant were both excellent, some items seemed rather overpriced (particularly the steaks). A slightly greater variety in the restaurant menu would have been nice.

We loved the spacious bathroom with in-floor heating and separate tub and shower. We also greatly enjoyed the fire place in the room. (We had specifically looked for accommodation with a real fireplace in the room). The room was just the right size for us as a couple. We loved the room so much we would likely ask for an identical room on our next stay. The reception staff, restaurant staff, and maintenance staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff and chef were willing to make substitutions in some of the menu items.
