Very friendly staff. Good location, next to the Johnston Canyon trial and a short drive to Banff and Lake Louise. The furniture is old but with a special flair

We thought it was a studio (kitchen included) but that was our fault for not reading more after seeing refrigerator and "studio". The staff was so kind and brought us a microwave and toaster and we managed fine.

Staff was amazing and we also met the Operations Manager and he treated us well and made special accommodations to make our stay satisfactory. The restaurant served quality food that we enjoyed three times.

Broken blind in kitchen. Mousetrap on kitchen floor. Had to move toaster oven as no outlet and was quite high to lift down.

I understand that the cabins are over a hundred years old but some things like the carpet and the paint work are due for an update. The bathroom did however look like it had had some work done recently.

Very rustic. Great location, they let us park in their car park after check out so we could do the walk to the Inkpots. We saw the northern lights from our cabin! They had some DVDs to borrow- we recommend Philomena. The cabin was clean.

The heat in our bungalow wasn’t working when we checked in. We mentioned it to the person on staff in the office who was going to have it looked at. We were there for three nights and it was never repaired. We did use the small electric heater in the bungalow but did not want to keep it on when we were away or while we slept so it was fairly comfortable but not ideal

Location was very good, especially with the trail right at the property. The bungalow was very nice and fit in well with the surrounding. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant attached, which was convenient and the food quite good

No comfortable chair to sit on to read. Curtains were not wide enough allowing gaps to be seen through. Couldn't seem to regulate the heater - either too warm or too cold. The garbage being left on the trail or being thrown over the railing.

Liked the restaurant but being the end of the season, they were low on a couple things. Loved the staff. Enjoyed the quiet and removal from so many crowds. Loved the shampoo and conditioner provided. Enjoyed the little store.

The Johnston Canyon hike is amazing, and being right there was an amazing way to "do the hike." We only stayed one night but I left thinking that would have been a great base to use to explore and sightsee from, especially locations farther away from Banff. Price was too high for our budget to consider that, hence the one night only, but maybe next time.

I stayed at this hotel recently and found the WiFi to be quite disappointing. While it somehow worked when I was outdoors, inside the room, it was a different story. Connecting was a hit-or-miss situation, and even when I managed to get connected, the internet was practically non-existent. Even outdoors, the WiFi frequently disconnected, making it incredibly frustrating. To give you an idea, I experienced around 10 disconnections during just one internet call. It was a major inconvenience and significantly impacted my stay.

The natural surroundings were stunning, and the opportunity to hike to the waterfalls right from the hotel's territory was a definite highlight. The scenery was breathtaking, and it made for a memorable adventure. The bungalow was well-equipped. Everything I needed was readily available, making my stay comfortable. Additionally, the hotel's on-site cafe was a gem – offering delicious treats and a cozy atmosphere. The combination of the beautiful nature, the delightful cafe, and the thoughtful room amenities made this stay comfortable.
