눉Initial booking, through booking.com.....requested king room...was contacted that king room with a view of the city was available to us. Perfect. Upon arrival we were informed that we were upgraded to the ambassador suites..wonderful...NOT....the upgrade was on the main floor, view of nothing, rocks and unkept back area. Three tries with the card before door opened..a employee came and attempted to open and three tries for her as well. The overwhelming odour of dampness, sweat and negativity greeted us. Even the employee commented on this but said a burst of air would probably eliminate this. She told us about the whirlpool tub, which looked old and smelled as well, she told us the room had its own laundry duo and kitchenette...we were there one night for our Anniversary...not going to be doing any cooking never mind laundry.She departed. I went to open a window to let in some fresh air; large, very wet towel lay across the window and it was soaked..I assume major leak on that window. We lay on the bed. OMG, lumpy old and wobbly..we proceeded to check the web for some restaurants in the area..after 20 minutes I told my husband I could not stay in this room. My head was aching, my sinus were filling up WE HAD TO GO! Went to front desk to request another room...needed something clean and not damp. First, and only, thing said to me "did you use anything in the room" !? Took a bit, but was eventually given a key to a room on the 7th floor to check.Door opened on first try, good sign. It was fine, no view but clean and quite comfortable. I was a little annoyed that no apology was given. We had taken our luggage to the initial room ourselves but when we had to relocate we were not even offered assistance. We can take our own belongings but considering the problems it would have been nice if they at least offered assistance.

눉That is the worst bed I have slept on.The mattress was lumpy and soft. I brought it to the manager's attention and they put a board underneath the mattress ,but there was hardly any difference. They could not change the room because the hotel was full. The odor in the room was stale and smelled moldy. The window A/C made lots of noise and bothered with the sleep and smelled moldy too. When I was in a hurry to go to dinner and went to open the safe ,it wouldn't open. After calling the front desk a gentleman came and checking the safe out said it was the battery. He replaced the batteries and it still didn't work so he finally changed the whole door. Alas! At last I was able to go to dinner. The mattress was so bad that it gave me a terrible back ache. I would have not stayed there the 2 extra days I did if it was not for non refundable purchase I had made. The only good thing was that the location was very good. ...the rest was very unpleasant. And because of the Grand Prix I paid a mint for that lousy smelly room!$800.37 for 3 nights.just riduculous! If this was a purchase of an item ,like at Costco ,they would reimburse you right away or at least discount the rates ala!, never again at this hotel.
