눉Room needed updating, stairs very steep, wifi and cable extremely poor, breakfasts cold and not appetizing , bedroom blinds covered in dust, no kitchen facilities in rooms, pool need cleaning, towels were shabby and hot tub was cold. Overall, b&b was neglected and staff over worked.

눉The bed was simply not comfortable. The mattress and pillows were lumpy. The temp in the room could not be changed from 76, a bit too warm for me!
눇Breakfasts were a delight. Location was perfect and the inn itself was beautiful! I also really enjoyed the pool. A cool dip was perfect after a long day of touring!

눉Most of our stay was in the Coach House, a poorly air conditioned room with small windows. The temp was consistently 76 degrees and we were advised to keep the venetian blinds drawn to keep it as cool as possible. This made it even darker. The bathroom which had a jetted tub, was particularly dark with no windows. This was a special anniversary trip for us and we had booked what we thought was the best room in the house--king bed with jetted tub. Thus we were delighted when we were given a beautifully decorated, light-filled, well-air conditioned, room with a beautiful bath on our first night. Unfortunately, the next morning we were told we had to move out of this room after our first night. We were also told that we had been advised at the time of booking we would have to move and that we had agreed. This was not true. Since we did not know, we had totally moved into the first room for our 5 night stay. We asked if the staff would move us. They said they would "help." Basically that meant we spent the first hour of our first day moving and getting resettled into a sweltering room. We did not ask the staff to help--we wanted them to move us entirely, leaving us free to enjoy our vacation time. The staff saw how unhappy we were and promised to speak to the owner about a price reduction. Upon check out, we asked about it and were told that the owner did not feel it was justified. We asked her to ask again. Very upset we put a hold on 1/3 of our bill through our credit card company. The owner subsequently offered a 20% reduction for ONE night. When we told him about the disputed charge, he threatened to sue us. He has misrepresented the situation both to Booking.com and to our credit card company with the result that we have received a small refund of $78 against a bill of $1240. Considering our discomfort and inconvenience this is hardly recompense.
눇We liked the location and the breakfasts were lovely. Antique furnishings in common areas were beautiful.
