Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel was under renovation so of course it did not make a great impression however we understand it needs to be done at some point.
Convenient location for flights from the Vancouver Airport. There is free airport shuttle bus and the simple brakfast was included. Staff was very friendly.

Other than than the renovations......nothing to compain about.
Everything was OK but the ongoing renovations was unfortunate. The airport shuttle also good and convenient.

The staff were so friendly and excellent customer service. When I waited for the taxi the front desk fellow waited outside until the driver arrived.

The bathroom needs a little facelift and since the lobby was under construction it wasn’t pretty but it was acceptable.
The location is great, right in the heart of Richmond. We arrived very late around 11:30pm and hadn’t eaten much all day. When we arrived we didn’t expect much but the person at the front desk told us that the Chinese restaurant around the corner was opened until 1am. We had a very nice meal which was exactly what we needed after a long flight. Having that option was very uplifting and I know most restaurants don’t stay open that long. The bed was very nice and comfortable. A comfortable bed and a meal when you’re hungry, we were happy.

It would have been nice if we had been warned that the lobby area was under renovation. As we arrived at 1:30 AM. to a torn up lobby It was rather disconcerting.

Nothing of note
The room was clean and quiet, looking out over a park, very nice. The lobby and breakfast area were undergoing renos. but the breakfast was good as usual.

The bathroom floor was sticky around the toilet; the one chair in the room was very uncomfortable and there should have been two; the paint smell of the lobby renovations, though unavoidable, were quite unpleasant and even reached the hallway on the 4th floor. Happily, we didn't smell those odors in the room.
Good check in and out; free parking was convenient and much appreciated; hotel was quiet, the view of park was an unexpected delight; the included breakfast was very good and much appreciated; we felt the hotel was excellent value for money.

The only thing that sucks is it I can't live there At some point you got to go home sometimes and that's all right but This hotel definitely reminded me of My past when I was younger and how much I used to love staying in Hotels and motels and Airbnbs consistently!!!!!!
Extremely reasonable and friendly staff very positive communication and respectful feedback and patience in response to figuring out the bill because there was some confusion about a credit card but it was handled very professionally and very reasonably and I'm very happy with my decision and experience to stay with the Health Quality Inn at Richmond BC and I will continue to utilize that hotel moving forward with any future endeavors the bed and breakfast was very clean and quiet The only complaint of it have would be that the breakfast was situated in a midsize conference room so it was Somewhat philosophical backend a little uncomfortable as far as the situated guests go put the staff handled it very professionally and in a friendly manner and everybody I would say enjoyed their entire experience that I could see I'll definitely be going back thank you

Not a big deal - there was construction around the lobby, and so it will be much more polished when we return!
Nothing fancy, but a comfortable for a one night stay in transit. The shuttle to and from the airport was a bonus and staff were friendly and kind. It was easy to walk around Richmond to explore and find lunch and dinner. Breakfast was basic and hit the spot. A short taxi ride to the waterfront and museum was a treat for us too.

That we took a taxi as the wait for the shuttle was going to be 35 minutes and it had already been a long day. I suggest you get the flight numbers from guests and have them call once they arrive, that way your driver will know if he should wait.
Room was clean, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast variety was good.
