Noisy! There are lots of bars nearby and the windows do not seem to block out any of the noise. You could hear people out partying until 2-3am. Luckily we had our babies with us and brought white noise machines that helped block out the noise.

The breakfast was descent and they had GF options for me. The 2 bedroom suite worked out perfectly me, my husband, baby, toddler, and parents. The bathrooms were big - big enough to fit a pack & play, so it was like having an extra bedroom for our toddler.

Unannounced change of the hotel on the check up counter. The arranged hotel (Atlantica Hotel) was so bad.

Quite outdated and not overly clean especially for the price. No milkettes or creamers for coffee/tea except during breakfast hours. Parking was $25 per day (seems average for the area, but frustrating when we checked out at 8am and left the city so you pay for a whole day not being used). It says to pre-book parking before your stay but wasn’t able to actually get a hold of anyone prior, however, they didn’t say anything when we got there and said we wanted to add parking. Any messages I had sent to the hotel prior to the stay were never responded to or answered.

Location was great! Almost everything in Halifax was walkable (Halifax and the hotel is a bit up hill though, so wouldn’t recommend for those with difficulties walking/getting around).

Price was quite high for one night. Also, there were 2 rooms booked with the reservation and I thought it was strange that the rooms weren't booked closer together. They were on separate floors.

Rooms are huge. Very clean. I like the convenience of a kitchenette...even with stove elements!! . I didn't need it this time as my stay was only for one night but this would be fantastic for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Parking was easily accessible. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Very short walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and the convention centre. It was a fantastic spot for convenience in the city.

The laundry payment can be improved, nowadays a days, it's difficult to find 1 dollar coins and 25 cents coins. The coins then could be readily available in the reception, if not a dummy coin that can be paid at the front desk. I ended up going to the restaurant and pizza house in the neighborhood at 11 PM to ask for coins because reception didn't have it and neither myself.

Staff are ALL polite and respectable, from the restaurant to the front desk. Window can be open a bit to allow fresh air ventilation.

Our room on the first night was close to a pedestrian mall where a street performer played an amplified guitar from 10pm to 1am and a nearby bar was noisy until 3am. We asked to be moved and we were, following which we had no further issues.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff good and amenable when we encountered an issue. Great location parking was not cheap but good.

Tv in room needs a guide so you can punch the number of the station you want. The remote was clunky.

Location was fine. Place looked like a hospital in the so called lobby. Very unimpressed. No flowers, artwork.

The only downside was the cost of the carpark ($30 inc tax for 1 night) and the breakfast was poor. Given that we participated in breakfast at 6.30am we might have expected the hot food to be "hot" It wasn't even warm!

The Residence Inn is in a perfect location to see the sights of Downtown Halifax. The rooms/suites are large and comfortable and we appreciated the separate sitting area and sofa bed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. All in all though, a pleasant stay. Thank you.

parking was an issue, even after we explained that we had a large truck with bike rack… still expected us to squeeze into small lot. Took us a very long time to squeak in, and pray we could get back out when the time came. For the amount they charge to park for the day, should be able to reserve larger spots.

located at the top of the hill, lots of places to eat and enjoy live music. We booked a room with kitchen, and it was stocked with everything we needed.
