Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Besides the tv channels sucking and being unable to connect the TV to Bluetooth, the only issue me and my boyfriend had with the room we stayed in was that at night it got really really hot for both of us and it made it very uncomfortable and hard to sleep because we couldn’t control the temperature of the room.
Friendly staff, pet friendly, quiet private location for room and car parking, clean room/bathroom, hot/cold water, push button toilet flushing, refrigerator, slippers to wear around the room, area to hang clothing, overall worth the price compared to other rooms I tried staying in for the weekend with my boyfriend and 2 small dogs.

It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair in the roomin addition to the desk chair. Also the hot/cold water was very difficult to regulate. It needs some repair.

Parking my motorcycle right outside my door. Nice little overhang of balcony above, and chair/table to sit at even in the rain. Fridge and microwave, great! Friendly and helpful staff.

Water temperature was quite varaiable. Couldn’t get tap to run cold water; and shower would start scalding then cool off as water ran. However - I adjusted along the way.
Located so close to our friends’ cottage at Point Pelee, but also handy to stores, restaurants.

Had a small table but no chairs . Had to bring outdoor chair in. . Otherwise would have to eat while sitting in bed or standing up. Only one disposable coffee cup but there was 2 of us. Toilet anchor bolts were not tight so bowl rocked. Fortunately no water leaked. Restaurant shown in pictures was closed. Not sure if it's being renovated or what.
Recently renovated room . crown moulding. nice laminate wood floors appeared very clean. . Disposable slippers provided was unexpected nice touch. Microwave and small fridge. Bathroom also looked new. Rooms had Very clean feeling. Desk clerk very friendly.

It could be more comfortable if one more chair is provided . It was a double room , but there was only one chair inside the room . Hot water temperature was too hot . If not mixed with cold water , easily get pain.

Room need dark curtain as the light from in front of the room is really strong and shining into the room. It is very disturbing. Other then that everything else was good.

The floor is ver cold although they have given slippers that helps.

AC at 65F (=18C) when we arrived! Yikes, Cold water never cold. Some broken controls on the alarm clock. Old desk needed some dark stain here and there. No knobs on doors and drawers of bathroom cabinet.

We checked in late and left the next morning, so no real complaints! The TV cable package was basic, so it didn't have the TSN channel showing the World Junior hockey game, but that was a very minor concern.
Very clean, and looked like there have been some recent upgrades. Outside access by the parking lot was handy. The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly, and went out of her way to get ice for our friends in the next room.
